Hello new world!
HOW are YOU?
How are you feeling in the middle of this scary craziness?
Cool and collected?
freaked out and stressed?
Me? I am neither … I am trying to actively work myself toward some kind of zen in the midst of all this.
Maybe I’ll get there? Eventually.
This crazy new world of ours …
We are all under the same black, gloomy umbrella. We are all in the same kind of misery. ALL over our world.
I am trying to keep some form of normality going.
Peter is working as usual (thank God for that). I am taking my daily walks. I am writing this blog.
But, we are also following all the new restrictions. We are sure to follow the rules about social distancing, hand washing and all that.
Friday late afternoon, if you drove by our street, you would have seen 6 people sitting in the sunshine drinking wine. ALL spaced out 6 feet (2 meters) apart. Well, couples could sit together obvi! But, other than that, we kept our distances.
And, that was just fine.
All pics are taken Friday-Monday. Cherry blossoms by Lake Thoreau on Friday morning. What a joy to see them like this.
Peter and I are out and about on the trails of Reston more than ever now. I am out every morning (as per usual), but Peter and I make sure we always take an afternoon walk as well these days,
IT is so important to get fresh air now. Good for your lungs, your stamina, your body and your SOUL!
Over the weekend, we took long, nice walks and we met lots of other people on the trails. ALL kept their distances as we passed one another.
People sure as heck do follow the new guidelines. And, that is good.
Magnolias along my path on Sunday by Lake Audubon.
An early azalea in bloom.
This street is one of my favorites in the spring. I love it.
We went to the store twice over the weekend. I had to drop off a prescription for my blood pressure meds. Peter and I shopped a little. No, no toilet paper on either days. Not that we need it, we have plenty of it as of now.
But we got other things that we needed.
Yesterday morning, as I was out walking, I saw a big Safeway truck pull up behind the store. FULL of food, goodies, necessities and goods. I waved to the driver as I was mouthing, THANK YOU!
NOW we really do appreciate and NOTICE all these so very valued workers in our society. Respect to them ALL!
Cherry blossoms galore right now.
The hubster on Sunday.
Yesterday morning was as gloomy and damp as my mind ...
Magnolias in the rain.
So tell me, how are YOU doing?
And, how are you feeling?
