Flying away!

Good morning this very Tuesday!

July is going SO fast. 

As I have said before, this summer is going faster than any “regular” summer. I knew that was going to happen.

So here we are,  it is less than two months left to the wedding. That is crazy!!

 

The rosemallows are blooming now along the lakes.  I love them!!

The basement is full of stuff that we will have to bring with us to New Jersey for the big day.

I am so glad my sister and brother-in-law are helping us deliver all this stuff in their rental car.

The weekend has been good. 

Peter and I went to the pool Saturday.

On the grill, loads of yummy foods. 

Nice friends visiting Friday and Sunday.

Norway losing the soccer game, that was TOO bad. I would have liked to see them going further.

Good job though, Haaland and co!! Haaland has become so popular here in the US, and I totally get why! Well, he's famous all over the place right now. Love that for him. 

Peter thinks France is gong to win. I think Argentina will take the cake. We will have to see who’s right in the end.

 

Never would I have thought that this World Cup would engage me the way it has.

BUT, it is fun to see the world unite. It is great to see how people build bridges.

So yes, this World Cup has been a fun one for me as well, and I will somewhat miss it once it is over.

 

On Sunday we had visitors, my dear blogging friend/Insta friend Brysselkakan and her husband T were here for dinner.

Pete, my father-in-law was invited as well. T wanted to talk to Pete about his time in the Air Force. It was so very nice having them here. 

I love how the blogging world is giving you friends. That is the best!

We had to take our drinks inside due to a bit of rain, but when it was time to eat we moved out to the deck. We ate and hung out and enjoyed the very pleasant temperature. I am so glad that B and T got to see fireflies as well.

Next time we are planning to get together in Strängnäs, where they live.

 

A new week is upon us. 

I hope I will frequent the pool a lot. GOTTA have to get a good tan going so I don’t have to make an appointment for a spray tan in September before the wedding 😁.

Then it’ll be some packing for the BEACH and planning for our week in the OBX. I already have the menu planned at least, haha.
