As per always, I hope the weekend has treated you well.
I also hope that you’re ready for the new week.
I cannot complain about my weekend here in Restonland.
Yes, we did celebrate my birthday again on Friday, with Keith. He gave me three house flags, the theme of the flags are owls.
You all know that the owl is my favorite bird.
The owl, my spirit animal.
I have so many owls here at home, in every way and form.
More to come, I am sure. I’ll never get tired of owls.
Saturday morning we headed to Subaru to get our car served, and we also talked about what our next car will be …
It’ll be a Subaru, of course :-). We love that brand. And it suits our life style.
The weather was so nice, so when we got home we took a long walk.
And people, now the early trees are in bloom, the early plum trees and the earliest of the cherry trees.
All daffodils (but I bet you that those took a hit during the cold winter, because they are not as fantastic as they usually are in the spring).
In the evening, we went to a neighborhood get-together and that was very nice as well.
Grocery shopping, movie-day and a long walk day.
As I wrote on Friday, we were going to watch the movie, Project Hail Mary.
And I also stated that I was going to get the biggest popcorn there is.
The first thing I did at the movie theater was to ask for the biggest bowl of popcorn they have. And the biggest one I got. It came with free re-fills :-D
NO, I did not fill it up again. But I ate the whole tub, and it tasted FAB!
SOOO, Project Hail Mary.
Ryan Gosling for almost two and a half hours.
The genre is science fiction, and I am not a fan of said genre. Ryan plays Ryland Grace who wakes up from a coma onboard a space ship.
He has no idea how he got there. But slowly but surely he’s starting to remember his past. Ryland is out on a mission to observe the dimming sun and he hopes he can find a solution. While out in space he encounters another space ship, and he gets to know the sole alien onboard of this space craft.
I will not expose the plot more than this.
I give it two and a half star out of five.
The popcorn gets a solid five star review :-D
The weather over the weekend?
Sunny and 69F (20C) on Saturday.
Sunny and 83F (28C) on Sunday.
Peter and I ventured out for a Miss Canon walk late Sunday afternoon.
Let me tell you, this turned out to be a very hot walk. I am glad Peter brought water.
And yes, nature is turning so lovely with all the early blooming trees, flowers and bushes.
I also think Miss C and I will start having a great relationship.
Here are some pics that I shot. Most pics below are taken with my Miss C. On the pics that are not, I have stated so.
Forsythia in bloom. Forsythia is only pretty while it blooms. The rest of the year it is just a plain boring bush.

Comments
