Did you watch the Olympics?
I watched the opening ceremony via SVT (Swedish television) and VPN.
I could have watched it on Peacock as well, but I wanted to see it on SVT.
It was beautiful, I really liked it.
Yes, I also liked certain reactions and so on …
And got very happy over some other facts.
Anyway, beautiful in every way and form.
Good job, Italy!
And it was good that we did not have to wait until 20:00 our time to watch it.
Keith came over as well, and he got to see a big part of it as well.
However, Peacock (NBC's streaming service) IS great .
They show everything in real time, every sport. BUT they do have commercials, and that bothers me.
So therefore I wanted to see the opening commercial free.
Other than that, I watch everything via Peacock. Every now and then I am curious about what SVT shows, and then I switch over.

I have watched every single competition in the team events. And I am so happy that the US took the gold medal!
Now, I cannot wait for the individual figure skating events to start. THAT will be today (Monday as I write this) with the ice dancers.
Yes, we watched some curling, goooo to Sweden and the Wranå siblings!
I missed when Sweden took gold and silver in cross country. A bit too early in the day for us to be up for that.
Fun Fact:
The US male figure skater, Ilia Malinin, is from Vienna here in Northern Virginia. He used to skate, and train, here in Reston at our big indoor ice skating rink, Skate Quest.
He’s a Fairfax County Public Schools graduate and he is going to the same university as Peter is an alum at, George Mason here in Fairfax.

What else happened this weekend?
Well, it was frigging PAINFULLY ice cold.
It was freezing outside to the point that I swore, haha. And as you know, I rarely get bothered by cold weather. The problem was the high winds.
Peter and I were in Reston Town Center, and it is like a wind tunnels galore there.
And being us, so late in the game as we so often are, we bought our very first iPad at the Apple Store on Saturday.
I know, we are sooo after everyone else.
But we did not think we needed one. We really did not.
However, Peter’s old Nook (reading tablet) is getting old. So Peter wanted us to get an iPad where he can download both the Nook app and the Kindle app. We also want to quit getting the paper version of our newspaper, instead we will get it digitally. So therefore we finally got an iPad.
This iPad will mainly be Peter’s new reading tablet.
I downloaded E-Dagens Nyheter (the Swedish newspaper I am subscribing to) right away so that I can read it on the iPad as well, and not only on my phone.
I like that a lot.
Well, so 1800 years after everyone else Peter and I finally got ourselves an iPad.
The Apple girl—who helped us in the store— was surprised to hear that this was our very first one, I totally get her!! HAHA.
BUT she did think that Peter and I were advanced otherwise since we know how to mirror to the TV screen, haha.
Oh my God, I wonder if she thought that we were two old dinosaurs.
However, Apple girl was super, super nice. NO shade on her. AT ALL!!
AND another thing that I am sooo LATE using is AI. This is the first image I have created EVER via ChatGPT. A picture of me reading on an iPad. It sort of looks like me, and at the same time it doesn't. Weird and fun. I'll play more with this going forward.

We were all cheering for them.
The half time show with Bad Bunny was probably the best half time show I have ever seen.
Loved it, loved the message so much.

Sport på TV är det i överflöd just nu, invigningen såg vi inte mycket av, däremot damernas längd och lite av mix skidskytte. Kul ni har en konståkare som kommer från "närområdet" , blir ju alltid lite speciellt då.
Ipad har vi två av då min man fick för sig att han glömt sin i stolsfickan på planet när vi flög ner till Spanien för något år sedan, många timmar som gick åt både till att leta och kolla på flygplatsen, med SAS mm. När sonen kom ner fick min man hans Ipad som han inte använder och sen när vi packade väskorna för att åka hem efter 2 mån så hittade han sin Ipad i sin handbagageväska, ha ha,
Super Bowl pratade de om även på våra kanaler och säkert kunde man följa matchen om man ville. Klart att Herr T skulle hitta något att klaga på vad gällde halvtidsshowen, han är ju liksom lite "eljest" (som man säger i Norrbotten) den mannen, ha ha.
Ha en fin tisdag säger jag och skickar kramar från ett just nu -11 gradigt Åkersberga
Lördag och söndag blev det längdskidor och skidskytte. Lite störande är det att skidskyttet går på TV4, med tanke på reklamen, men det är i alla fall en gratis-kanal. :-D (Förutom de som tittar i marknätet då förstås, för där har TV4 slutat sända.) Idag är det sprint, något jag tyvärr kommer att missa, eftersom jag jobbar. Nåväl, det blir säkert sammanfattningar av detta på kvällen.

Någon ipad har jag inte (visst blir du förvånad? ;-)) och jag har inte några planer att skaffa en sådan, eller motsvarande android, heller. Känner inte att jag har något behov av det, det duger så bra med dator och mobil för min del.
Håller med dig angående AI-bilden; den ser både ut som dig och samtidigt inte. Hur mycket instruktioner gav du den angående miljön/inredningen? Tycker att den har fångat just den biten bra!
Jag använder för övrigt ChatGPT till att göra bilder att använda med mina tyskaelever. När vi pratar om kläder får eleverna AI-genererade bilder för att beskriva vad personerna har på sig, och nu, när vi i en kurs pratar om bland annat frukostvanor har jag gjort bilder på frukostbord som eleverna sedan pratar om. Detta underlättar SÅ mycket för mig - förut var jag tvungen att lägga massvis med tid på att leta efter vettiga bilder, nu kan jag få dem exakt som jag vill. Eller nästan exakt, får jag väl säga... Ibland blir det fel, som när AI placerade ut ett glas mjölk mitt i tallriken med havregrynsgröt, eller när den lade dit två frallor med smör, trots att jag skrev att det skulle vara en. Men det är smällar man får ta. ;-)
Apropå dinosaurie, vi har inte heller ägt någon iPad, någonsin, fast vi haft Apples telefoner och Mac i evigheter. Jag funderar på bärbar dator, men gillar min stationära med en rejäl skärm...
Här ligger temperaturerna runt nollan, så nu får jag börja akta mig för isfläckar. Det kom jag på igår då jag gick upp till brorsans hus och drog omkull på ett synnerligen o-smidigt sätt. Idag har jag värsta blåmärket på knät och en ond axel. Jaja, jag är glad att det ändå gick bra! Kram.
