Weekend happenings.

Good morning Tuesday folks!

I hope the third weekend of Advent treated you all well.

Peter and I have had a cozy one, that’s for sure.

Friday night I made meatballs, mashies and cream sauce. We enjoyed the meatballs with lingonberry sauce, so good!

My Christmas list on Spotify is running 100% these days, as it should.

Saturday morning Peter and I took off for the Holiday House and Christmas market in nearby Lucketts, Virginia.

I am telling you all, that place is Christmas heaven on earth!

Yes, tomorrow you guys will see the result of said trip here on the blog.

Again, THAT post will be THE Christmas BOMB if there ever was one 😅🎄

Sunday, we got some snow overnight.

SO pretty and it makes me so happy.

I can also tell you, it is COLD! SO bitterly cold. As I write this post it is 16F (-8C), and it is windy. It was just the same on Sunday. I do like the cold, though. On Thursday it'll be 52F (12C).  NO, I am putting in a petition to keep the cold all winter long.

But it has been a much much colder December here than it usually is.

I enjoyed the Lucia procession from Visby in Gotland, Sweden on Saturday morning.

What can I say about that one, just one word!  
PERFECTION!!!

Thank you SVT (Swedish Public Television)  for this one, it had everything I wanted and more, fantastic choirs, ambiance, the lovely medieval town Visby as a backdrop, the views over the Baltic Sea.

A perfect mix between traditional songs and new arrangements. I loved that they sang a few songs in the very distinctive Gotlandic dialect.

Believe it or not, I even loved the adorable children’s choir, that was so cute and uplifting.
