I hope you all have enjoyed a relaxing weekend.
My mom is doing better and nothing can make me happier.
Thank you all for your encouraging words and your sympathy.
It means a lot to me.
So yes, the weekend was therefore good for me. Forever thankful for that, never ever take anything for granted. But do enjoy life when it is good.
Catch that moment and really appreciate the HERE and NOW. The older I get, the more I can actually live in the moment.
Because you never know what lurks around the corner.
So do embrace life when it is indeed good.
I have got my Christmas spunk back!
Very thankful for that as well. Now I have two trees decorated for the season, and all my knick knacks are placed where they belong.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Peter and I worked Christmas for more than half the day on Saturday.
Yes, it is hard work.
This upcoming weekend we’ll rig all the outdoor lights.
The weather was fairly mild so we could hang out on the deck as well in front of the Solo-stove, it was so cozy.
A while ago my good blogging friend, Anna (Swede gal who’s a permanent snow bird in the south of Portugal nowadays), wrote on her blog that she was interested in a cyber get together.
We were a handful of Swedish bloggers who wanted to join in, Anna in Sweden, Sara in Barcelona (currently in between blogs), Monica in Sweden and myself.
We had a very nice cyber chat via FaceTime. It is so nice to see bloggers you have known for a while (thru their great and well written blogs) in real life.
Anna-Channal (Anna in Sweden) and I have known each other the longest. Anna in Portugal, thank you for this initiative. So very, very nice to see all these girls behind the blogs.
After the cyber meeting Peter and I went to CVS for our flu shots.
Yes, you can get a lot of vaccinations at your local drug stores here. I really do like that. Peter also took the pneumonia shot. Peter has had pneumonia twice, so taking this shot was a good call on his behalf. The pharmacist told us that there is a wild outbreak of “walking pneumonia” (mykoplasma) right now amongst the 50+ crowd.
Today our arms are a bit sore, especially Peter’s, but that is really minor. We have decided to call quits on the covid vaxx.
And no, we do not pay for these shots out of pocket. Our insurance covers it.
In Reston Town Center right now. Well, on Sunday when Peter and I walked up there for lunch. Love all the Christmas vibes.
All right, with this I wish you a good Tuesday.
