Good morning Tuesday!!
I hope you all have had a good weekend.
Maybe you have started prepping for Advent and Christmas?
Peter and I did rig the outside lights over the weekend. We won’t switch them on until Black Friday (this upcoming Friday in other words), but everything is done and ready to go!
On Sunday, we ventured out to a nearby winery together with our friends, Susanna and Marc.
We try to visit a few wineries with them every fall. This fall it’s been sparse with the winery visits for us all. And to be honest, vineyard season is almost over. It is too cold now to hang outside, the trees are pretty much barren. We ARE past peak now.
The fall colors are not golden anymore. We are entering the winter color scale consisting of gray, beige, brown and ashen.
This is where the owners of the winery live. We met them as they made their rounds amongst the guests, nice.
Several picnic tables next to the creek.
The winery we visited this time was a new one for all of us, Three Creeks Winery in nearby Hamilton in Loudon County, Virginia.
And, what a nice place it is! Super cozy!! The wine was surprisingly GOOD!
No, we could not enjoy our wine and cheeses outside. As I stated above, it is too cold. But, the outside area is great with fire pits and comfy chairs. We all decided that we will go back in October next year.
This couple did enjoy their time outside.
To live next door to Virginia wine country is such a treat.
A visit to a cozy vineyard is a perfect weekend outing.
The only bad thing is that day drinking makes you (read me) SO sleepy. It feels so top of the line in the moment as you’re sipping away together with good friends, but it is not so fun when you get home in the late afternoon and all you want to do is sleep, haha.
Old age does that to you!!
