Good morning Tuesday!
How are YOU doing?
How are YOU feeling?
How are YOU coping?
As always-- these days-- my mood goes up and down. Like a never ending rollercoaster.
When will life return to a somewhat normal state again?
Asking for a friend …
No, but really, please, please … give us some good news already. Like now! Like yesterday!
We are due.
We are SO due.
Peter and I went shopping early Friday morning at the crack of dawn.
THAT is a good time to be out and about. Harris Teeter opens at 7, and they were well stocked.
IS the first wave of pure insanity over in the stores?
I tend to think so …
But we’ll see, it might be too soon to tell.
When I was chewing on a piece of chicken at dinner on Thursday night I cracked a tooth. Yup, I sure as hell did …
HOW damn inconvenient. I could not believe it.
I did call the dentist’s office and left a message for them.
I got an appointment at noon on Friday. I did NOT want to go, I did NOT want to sit in a waiting room and I did not want to be exposed.
At the same time, I was beyond thankful to be able to get it fixed.
I was the ONLY person in the waiting room. THE only. They had hand sanitizers everywhere.
My tooth was a super easy fix for the dentist, an ancient silver filling and a bit of the tooth, was missing. An old filling, from when I was a kid.
He fixed it in NO time at all.
Thankful for that.
And the dentist and his assistant were SO protected, and that felt good for all of us.
SO, there, I got to be one of those who had to use the dentist for an emergency during these uncertain times.
Peter and I had a good weekend.
Peter turned 55 and we had a very, very good dinner. Beef Wellington really is a treat.
We also took long walks.
We did what we always do, pretty much.
Peter is hanging out by Lake Audubon on his birthday.
With this, I hope that YOU had a good weekend as well!
