Good morning Tuesday!!
So, as per usual another weekend went by like a flash.
What actually does happen during two short days?
And, how come all of us love that Friday feeling OOO SO much?
Do we not realize that the weekend will be over before we even know it?
Well, we all do know it, of course. We are very well aware of this fact. Despite this, it is a very good thing that we INDEED do have that Friday feeling. Life would be pretty boring without it.
Friday, so …
I made meatballs, mashed potatoes and cream sauce for dinner.
Yes, with lingonberry sauce, of course.
Good, Swedish comfort food. So perfect on a cold Friday night.
No pics will prove that this actually did happen, you guys just have to take my word for it.
I am a good cook, but I am not a person that does a plate presentation very well.
SO, therefore you will not find a ton of food pictures here, nor will you find them in my Instagram feed, haha.
OH, we woke up to snow!
Not a heck of a lot of snow. BUT still, snow.
Peter and I took an early morning, long walk to … Safeway … Yes, we had to get some more wine, among a few other things, haha.
Wine is important.
It was lovely out there. To wander in snow makes me so happy. Snow makes me happy. Period.
Well, we did not get much of the white stuff. A little more than a dusting.
In the afternoon, it turned into an ice storm before it all turned to rain. And, now there is zero snow on the radar for the foreseeable future.
And, this is how you walk to Safeway. All very nice. But, watch out for the snow and ice ...
Peter captured me as well ...
Peter and I hunkered in for the remainder of the afternoon. We did watch another Oscar nominated movie via iTunes,
Once upon a time in Hollywood.
Yes, I did like it. A lot!
A fun nostalgic look on Hollywood back in 1969. Fantastic acting, great story and an unexpected ending. If you are familiar with Quentin Tarantino it might not be THAT unexpected. But for me, it was!
Brad Pitt, Leo Dicaprio and Margot Robbie are all GREAT in their roles!!
I give the movie four stars.
In the evening our neighbors came over for a glass of wine, very nice
Here is Peter on his way back from the store. It is snowing, but it does not show in the pic.
Do you guys remember last Saturday? Peter was hanging on the deck then as well. A week ago he was dressed in shorts. It was 71F (22C). People, what a difference a week makes ...
Not much to report.
In the evening we did watch The Sag Awards. Fun fact, Karolina was working in the auditorium where the awards took place. She worked as a server. SO, Peter and I watched the serving staff like hawks. No, we did not spot our daughter, of course.
Karolina though, she said that she saw soooo many stars. Up close and personal. Fun for HER! Maybe she even got a little star struck?
Expected winners again, it all sets the tone for The Oscars. And, by the way, Karolina will be working at The Oscar's as well. How fun is that!!
Yesterday was a holiday here in the US as well, Martin Luther King JR Day.
Peter was working anyway, private company as he works for, you know. He has never been off on MLKJR-Day or on Presidents Day. It is business as usual for him. And therefore it is business like usual for me, too.
I took my morning walk early yesterday. AND, I did find the first ice porn of the season. HURRAY!!
I have been WAITING for this.
It was 20F, or -6 C. Sunny, lovely and cold.
And, I found this by the lake. LOVE IT!!
Ice porn!!! YAY! Finally!!
Anyway, that’s it for today.
I am off to my hair dresser for some necessary maintenance.
Have a good Tuesday!!!
