I hope all is good with you all this very Tuesday morning in the middle of January.
Here in my neck of the woods we have had the warmest of weekends.
It is something so strange when the weather decides to go super mild in the middle of the winter.
It happens every once in a while in this area, always has, I think. There can be little pockets in the weather during the winter when it feels more like spring than it does mid-winter.
Saturday afternoon the mercury stopped at 72 F (22C).
It felt unreal.
And yes, I did hang on the deck with a cup of tea and my book.
That night, between Saturday and Sunday, the temp never dipped below 64F (18C). NOW, THAT is weird.
Sometimes I wonder, will we see any snow at all here this winter?
We’ll see …
Right outside my house on Saturday afternoon.
Saturday morning Peter and I took the long walk to Safeway, with our backpacks. It was so warm out there.
It is always kind of fun to walk to the grocery store, and then pack your items into the backpacks. I can promise you all, it does not happen too often that people do that.
But we do, at least once a month. I like it.

Saturday afternoon on the deck. Yes, I truly DO enjoy the Chip and Joanna Gaines book!
Peter's enjoying the deck on Saturday!
Sunday was another super mild and sunny day.
I spent several hours on the deck then as well.
And sure, Peter and I took a long walk.
No, I am not a fan of warm weather during the winter. I want cold weather. But I can tell you one thing, I am taking the very BEST of the situation when it does happen. I can even admit that it is nice sitting in the sun on the deck reading in the dead of winter.
Here I am out on our walk on Sunday, enjoying it all for what it's worth.
With that being said, I wish you all a great Tuesday!
