Good morning Tuesday!
I hope you all had a nice weekend.
Peter and I had a good one.
We did some shopping on Saturday, yes in one of our malls. It was fairly packed, but I’ve seen worse.
We enjoyed good dinners and some real Christmas coziness here at home. You know, just the way it should be this time of the year.
I did also photograph my outdoor lights.
I want to document them every year as well. You might not know this, but I am using all my Christmas pics as references year after year. I do.
Me, the crazy conservative Christmas chick. Everything should be the way it has always been. Ok, it can be small variations, but still. It should be the same, more or less.
Here, let me show you how it all looks this year!
You'll find this little arrangement right outside my front door. The greenery consists of fresh fir, cedar and holly.
Calorie free candy canes on a battery driven string.
By my front door. I bought the ice skates in Lucketts last year. Love them!! The star is bought at Wegman's (grocery store)
My Christmas bench during the day ... Fir trimmings here as well. I'll keep the evergreens all winter long, but I'll remove the ornaments once Christmas is done and done, of course.
In the cedars right outside my house you'll find these.
This is my beloved Christmas bench after dark. My favorite each and every year.
Yes, it is a bitch to string the bench, believe me!! I do swear a lot while rigging, hehe.
In the barrel lies a Christmas world in itself ...
I got the lanterns at Pier One many many years ago.
String that bench ...
The lanterns stay on the bench all year long. I just change its surroundings.
My hydrangea is decked out as well ...
And, the holly bush is so pretty this time of the year. A perfect Christmas shrub.
There is something so special with all the Christmas lights this time of the year.
IF you turn a trellis upside down you will get a Christmas tree :-)
It has to be lights everywhere.
My barrel again :-)
Ornaments are a must right outside my door.
One has to realize that IT is indeed Christmas while entering my house :-)
And, there is Pingu!!!
My highly beloved Christmas bench again ...
This is my deck yesterday morning. It was sleeting so bad, and it was SO cold and damp. Here you have my deck Christmas tree, the Christmas goat and two lanterns. These light up the night so beautifully.
Around the railings surrounding the deck you'll find colored lights. Just because I like it that way!
Today I am off to Tyson’s Corner (the biggest mall in the DC-area. Located here in NoVA) to get the last gifts.
Have a very good Tuesday.
