Summer is here!!
May has come, and gone. May was a somewhat weird month in my neck of the world. It started out SO cold, damp and rainy. And, it stayed that way until we left for California. When we returned home again it was summer.
Real summer, sunny, hot and humid.
It works, it works thanks to A/C.
My May collage on Instagram.
The past weekend was also hot and humid.
We hung out on the deck a lot. Peter grilled hamburgers Friday night. SO good.
Saturday night we put some chicken breasts on the grill, and I made a new favorite pasta salad that I am totally in love with.
The hot, calm and sunny mornings of the summer where I live.
June is Pride-month here in the US. Maybe it is in the rest of the world as well? I am not sure …
Reston has its own Pride-festival nowadays. Peter and I decided to drive to Lake Anne and check it out on Saturday afternoon.
It was beautifully decorated and a good amount of people.
I love to live in this area.
Reston Pride is only on its second year, I am sure it’ll grow bigger and bigger. In downtown DC, Pride month is HUGE!!

Me and my hubster went to the movies on Sunday afternoon. We watched Rocketman, you know the movie about Elton John. Since I really, really love Elton John’s music I loved it.
GREAT, GREAT movie. Top of the line, you guys should go see it.
And, as always it has been a little bit of fixing here and there as well.
I made a little bee-bath for the front yard. Yes, I want the honey bees, bumble bees, other bees and insects to come and drink, and bathe (haha), in my little water hole.
I spray painted a terracotta dish, then I put glass marbles inside it, I also spray painted an old, rusty metal pot and glued that to the dish.
Volia, a bee water hole. OR a bird bath for little birds.
I like the way it looks.
I want the bees to thrive since we all need them.
Now it is JUNE and summer!
Have a good Tuesday!!
