Good morning this Tuesday!
First and foremost I have got to say ONE thing;
THANK you all for the wonderful comments you left on Friday, and over the weekend. YOU made my weekend!
Thanks for all your kind and encouraging words about this blog.
You guys, you ROCK!
As I stated in the post on Friday, without YOU ALL there would be NO Life in the Suburb, rest assured!
Now, I am writing the first post as I begin my fourteenth year as a blogger.
The weekend has come, and it has gone.
Sunday was Mother’s Day. A very nice and quiet day here in our house. We had a nice breakfast and a very good dinner.
And the weather? Oh my, RAIN all day. Not a quiet summer rain either, no it was POURING down from the sky pretty much all day long. Let me put it like this, it has NOW (as I write this post) been raining for three straight days.
Peter and I did take a walk in the rain on Sunday afternoon though. Yes, it is LUSH and green here, but it comes with a price. RAIN, rain and more rain.
But the late blooming dogwoods are indeed pretty.
Also, it is so chilly.
YUP, yesterday Peter had enough of it. He turned on the heat in the house again. Sure, it was 47 F outside (8C) and damp as can be.
No, we cannot blame Peter for doing so for one second ;-)
Now, I’ve had enough of this s’h’’’i’t weather.
The Best Deck? Forget IT!
It just stands there looking pretty in the rain, but we cannot use it.
Maybe one of these days we will? Maybe, if we are lucky.
My poor peonies look so sad in the rain.
We did watch the new Netflix movie Wine Country on Mother’s Day,
Yes, we liked it. Lots of awesome actresses in it. A fun movie for us middle-aged chicks and dudes. Watch it, you’ll like it!
Well, well … another swell day is upon us all.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
