We are in the middle of an April heatwave. I am not so crazy about those. You know, an heatwave of this kind will make everything bloom in no time at all.
I’d rather have cooler days.
It will get warm soon anyway.
We had a bit of rain on Friday morning. The cherry blossoms are pretty in the rain as well ...
The trees in my neighborhood are so pretty now.
Yesterday morning, as I walked out of the door it was 69 degrees (20C).
And, yesterday—during the afternoon— the mercury reached 86 F (30C).
No, that is not really OK in early April, in my opinion. But it is not unusual in any way either. We often get these kind of heat waves in April.
It will not last tho, and that IS a good thing.
Peter and I took a lovely walk on Saturday, This is a neighborhood close to mine. The trees are so very lovely here.
SO, with every flower exploding all around us, so is the POLLEN!
Pretty soon it’ll be everywhere. A thick yellow layer of pollen will coat the world.
I have started working in my little front yard.
I am preparing it for spring and summer. I am mulching, prepping and planning.
The loveliness of the spring season ...
The magnolias have reached their peak for this spring..
Yesterday, as I got back home from my walk, I sat outside and drank my coffee.
I could not sit in the direct sunlight, it got to be too hot there.
SO, I had to sit in the shade.
My neighborhood in the early morning.
The weekend was good.
Just beautiful all around.
The cherry blossoms look like ball gowns ... so pretty!!
THIS SEASON is so extremely lovely in every way.
I wish it would last much longer than it does.
By Lake Thoreau yesterday. In this picture one can almost sense how warm it is ...
I hope YOUR weekend was good.
Have a very nice Tuesday!!
