New Year! Old Me! Same familiar blog!
Hello you ALL!
First and foremost, I want to wish you all a Happy New 2019.
Let us hope that this will be a good year for us all.
Naturally, I also hope that y’all had a wonderful Christmas and a fun New Year’s Eve.
Christmas is long gone in my house. We took it down on New Year’s Day.
NO, not at all.
Once New Year’s is over here in the US, it is SO OVER!
Yes, it is hard work taking down Christmas, it took me two days. BUT, it is harder setting up in November than taking it all down in January.
Our Christmas was good. It went way too, way too fast. As always.
The weather was fairly typical, around 40 degrees F (5C), most of the days.
We celebrated Christmas Eve with my good friend Susanna and her family. An old tradition.
It was nice and relaxed.
Christmas Day, the old traditions continued, gifts in the morning and an afternoon at Peter’s dad’s place.
The-in-between-days went so fast, I have really no idea where they went.
All of a sudden it was New Year’s Eve!
And, yes, that evening was a great one. As you might know, we always have a dance party with our neighbors. A blast.
I love this dancing and partying tradition so much.
I hope it'll continue until we can no longer stand up.
And, as soon as New Year’s Day dawned THE HOLIDAYS were all over.
Over and out ...
A new year. An old me. No resolutions. No promises.
So, a new blog-year it is.
It was nice—and necessary— with a little hiatus from my otherwise strictly scheduled blogging. But, now I am ready to tackle new subjects from here on with you guys.
I certainly hope you all are ready, too, for another year with Yours Truly.
I am looking forward to true winter weather now. I want cold—yes freezing conditions— and a lot of snow.
I wonder if that will materialize?
Maybe. One can hope.
Until then I will just toggle along.
I really hope the holidays treated you all good!
