A Swedish TV weekend :-)
How was your weekend, peeps?
I hope it was a good one.
My weekend was … quiet.
Friday, I made Flying Jacob. Karolina wanted that meal, and I gladly cooked it for her. Her boyfriend got to enjoy it for the very first time as well. Really, I am not sure what he thought about it.
We played Apples to Apples as well. AND, we enjoyed Karolina’s and my favorite American dessert, Key Lime Pie. We love that, both of us.
Mid-morning Karolina and Stephan left for their weekend retreat in the southwestern Virginia Mountains. And by then, I was all alone.
I had this strong urge to watch Swedish Television. By then, I discovered that I could NOT download my VPN to my computer. For some reason my VPN disappeared when I upgraded the system on my MacBook Pro a little while ago. And, as I was looking to download it again I came to realize that there was NO way in hell that I would be able to figure it out. Such complicated directions.
But, lucky for me I got assistance right here in Reston. Magnus to the rescue, I brought my laptop to Lotta and Magnus house and he helped me out. And, even he thought it was super complicated. I wonder, why do they (Anonine) make it so hard???
Anyway, I got it fixed. THANK YOU Magnus!!
Home I went. And, I binged the whole series of “Systrar 1968” and I really liked it.
I had a very hard time sleeping, of course. So, I did watch a documentary about Rudolf Nurejev and his defection to the west in 1961. It was good.
Then I fell asleep.
Sunday, after a brisk walk, I hunkered down on the couch with my laptop again. And, binge watched the entire series of “Bandet och jag”. Four one hour episodes in a row. Oh I know, I hear myself …
I liked it, a lot. It made me laugh and it was ALSO so much fun because big parts of it took place in the castle where I spent the first seven years of my life, Hässelby Slott.
Fun with just that one aspect in mind. But, I do like Erik Haag and Lotta Lundgren a lot, they always make me laugh.
Let me tell you, after those four hours my eyes were burning.
I had to take another little walk.
Peter got home around ten. Lovely to have hime home again.
So, that was MY weekend. Kind of boring in a way, but also very nice in another kind of way.
And, no, I did not take a single picture.
Not a single one.
Have a nice Tuesday!
