It is October again!
October, my favorite month of the year.
Yes, I love the first half of November as well. Stunningly beautiful months around here.
I am fine again. Healthy. Back to normal. However normal I am …
I am back to my lovely routine. You know, getting out of bed around 7 AM and taking my power walk. Also—back to what I really LOVE doing when returning from said walks—grabbing a cup of coffee sitting outside in my little garden. I love all this so much.
Thankful for the little things in life. The little things that actually tend to be the really big things in life, when you think about it.
I found these in the woods.
Lake Thoreau in the early morning.
Oh, it feels SO good to be OUT there again.
Also, it is my time for radio shows (thanks SR, Swedish National Public Radio) and to Pod casts (of various kinds, in Swedish and English).
Thanks to my dearly, beloved iPhone! What does one do without them?
My source of entertainment, my camera and my pedometer (OH yes, I am counting my steps EVERY DAY).
As you can see, the green colors rule the landscape. Still.
So, out I went on October first. A lovely, warm Monday around here.
How warm is it now here in The Mid-Atlantic, you may ask?
Well, right now there are more summer like temps than fall temps. This week we’ll have temps around the 81-86 F mark. That equals 27-30 degrees on the centigrade scale.
In other words, summer like—right? Next week it’ll be a bit colder. AND, that is FINE with me, folks.
One of "my" lakes, Lake Thoreau, in the morning sun.
I did take care of my little garden over the weekend. Oh boy, it took its sweet little time …
But now it looks so nice and good again.
I have de-summered the garden. No more cute little summer knick-knacks out there.
Now they are all tucked away until spring.

Guess what! It is almost time to start decorating for Halloween. No, not that I am going overboard anymore regarding that. BUT, some Halloween lights have to come out, some small decorations and —of course— SÖT, the dead rat!
Yes, it is even time to break out some Halloween stuff for the inside of my home.
Some blooming azaleas. I guess these might be a bit confused on what season it is ...
I hope you all had a good weekend.
I’ll see you here tomorrow again!
