Good morning Tuesday people!!
I hope all is good in your neck of the world.
Here, in my part of the universe, we can experience ALL four seasons in a single week.
Yup, totally true!
And, also totally tiring in so many ways.
My lower patio on Thursday. The sun sets around 17:50 now.
I found snowdrops while walking last week. SO very lovely!
I get more and more tired of the schizophrenic winter weather that we experience here in the Mid-Atlantic states.
As you all know, it can be freezing cold and bitter one day. The next day you’ll have spring (or even summer like temps).
The older I get the less I tolerate this nonsense.
But, one has to deal with it, of course. Do I have a choice?
Peter and I went shopping, with our backpacks, on Saturday. As you can see the weather was crystal clear in the morning.
Saturday afternoon we got snow here.
Yes, and it piled up pretty fast. However, it was never really any problems driving. And, that was a good thing since we had dinner reservations at our current favorite restaurant, Eddie V's.
And, Saturday afternoon it started to snow, snow and snow ... Yes, my lower patio again.
The view from the balcony in my bedroom.
Yesterday all the snow melted away in the 50 degree weather (10C).
Peter and I at Eddie V's on Saturday night.
A Reston road on Saturday afternoon. This is not my picture, it is taken by fellow Restonian, @dottiewest. An Instagram-friend.
And, dudes, guess what!?
Today AND tomorrow it will be 76 degrees F!! That equals about 25 degrees on the Centigrade scale.
How about that in February?
MAY like temperatures!
It is weird. It is.
BUT, I am planning to sit on the deck and enjoy it.
You know, ya might as well go with the flow and take it for WHAT it is!
So, a “fika” on the deck during the afternoon has already been scheduled.
I took these photos yesterday morning after the rain. The light was so beautiful for a short while as the sun rose.
This is a dogwood tree, in about a month all the dogwoods will be in full bloom.
All pics are taken with my iPhone.
I wish you all a good Tuesday!
