Good morning Tuesday people!
I hope your weekend was great!
We have more spring than winter.
As you all know, we never really did get any winter to speak of. Boring and strange at the same time.
At this rate I am afraid we’ll have summer in April.
Not cool. Not cool AT ALL in my book!
Some people tend to praise this. But I wonder? What is there REALLY to praise?
That nature is whacked out?
That global warming is, indeed, real?
That we will have a long, hot summer?
Where lies the beauty in having 25C (or 75F) in February?
There is none, not in my opinion.
I did take a few photos, of course.
It is hard not to.
Naturally.
It is interesting to document winters like this one.
SO, what else happened over the weekend?
Saturday, we went to brunch, nice. Actually, we went to brunch on Sunday as well.
Yep, I do like that.
Peter’s dad was here on Saturday night. He seems to be doing well.
Nice having him here.
Otherwise, we did the same old chores, like cleaning, taking walks, Peter was running, I did cross word puzzles and word games.
We had nice dinners with Pete on Saturday, and Keith on Friday.
We watched the entire Academy Awards! Actually, I started watching E around 16:00 on Sunday afternoon. SO fun.
I love all the reports from the Red Carpet. Love checking the dresses out, and the stars in general.
It is my night.
Peter and I enjoyed filet mignon, bearnaise sauce, baked potatoes and a big salad. SO good. It’s been so long since the last time we had baked potatoes, and those are SOOOO good.
There was a truly awful moment at the gala, as you all know. When Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announced the Picture of the Year and they got the WRONG envelope. OH MY GOD, I felt for them ALL. I felt for LaLa Land who thought they had won, and for Moonlight who got their moment stolen. Strange and so, so, SO awkward. This is something Hollywood will talk about for a long time.
It was Price Waterhouse's fault.
Not good, not good at all.
I am happy that Casey Affleck won for Manchester by the Sea.
Very happy that LaLa Land won so many awards.
I am sorry that Natalie Portman did not win for Jackie.
Too bad with a A man named Ove. But fun with Linus Sandberg’s win and him thanking his wife in Swedish.
Funny when Jimmy Kimmel apologized for what Trump had said about Sweden.
And now, a new week!
The first spring month is upon us.
I hope spring will cool down a bit now.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!!

Peter's out and about on Sunday.
Friday by Lake Audubon.

Yesterday's crocuses.
Yesterday's sunrise over Lake Thoreau.
Otherwise, we did the same old chores, like cleaning, taking walks, Peter was running, I did cross word puzzles and word games.

Forsythias in full bloom.
And, even the narcissuses are blooming ...

Hellebores are blooming as well. Everywhere.
And, last week by Lake Audubon, hazel catkins and a blooming prunus.

A prunus in almost full bloom.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!!

Kramar!!
Weird. I saw magnolias about to bloom. I don¨t know what to say ...?
Yes, it was weird there in the bitter end at Oscar Night. SO embarrassing.
TACK!!
Stor kram ♥
Hemskt.
Ha det så jättebra.
Kramar!
