"I am so glad to live in a world where there are Octobers"
-L.M Montogomery, Anne of Green Gables
I love the quote above. I wish the words where my own, they ring so true to me.
I am forever thankful to be living at a place, like where I live now, that can serve up Octobers at their very best! Fancy Octobers, that is! Picture Perfect ones!
The American east coast during the fall is nothing but a dream...
I love it, I live in it!
Thank you for that!
Yesterday I brought my Canon along on my morning walk. GREAT thing that I did just that, because the morning was like a vision. SO beautiful!
Yes, I am INDEED so happy to live in a world where there are Octobers.
As you can see on my pics, the fall foliage is NOT at its peek yet. Give it another week, or two. It is still more green than golden. In about two weeks, I will take you all on a walk around "my other lake" (Lake Audubon). We shall then compare.
Anyway, here are the facts from yesterday's walk!
Place: Lake Thoreau Loop.
Temp: 30 degrees Fahrenheit, -2 Celsius.
Weather conditions: Clear and calm
Come along with me and my Canon!
And, be warned; this IS A MAJOR PHOTO BOMB!!!
We have had a couple of nights now when the temp has dropped below freezing. It sure is fall...
Down by Lake Thoreau. I so love mist on the water!
And, all is so incredibly beautiful as the sun rises.
The golf course.
Forever thankful for all the walking paths.
Do you see the flying bird? It is a heron, and I always think they are so majestic!
Trees in the morning sun!
I rest my case...
On mornings like these I almost want to scream. Of joy!
Frost on the grass. When do you think we'll find the first ice-porn of the year? :-)
This is a dogwood. They are beautiful in the fall as well!
I have no idea what tree this is...
Yes, we do have beautiful days here right now. But so do you Scandinavians this fall!
We shall be happy and thankful for the beautiful fall we're all having!
Today I am not taking a walk, I am heading to IKEA with my friend Lotta instead.
Have a great Tuesday, dear readers!!
