Good morning!
As I am writing this post, on Monday afternoon, the weather outside is anything but fall like.
I think we got up to 23 degrees C yesterday (73 F).
Sunny, calm and SO very warm.
As I sat down outside my house yesterday, after my PW, I realized that it was too warm in the sun.
I had to move to the shade.
The weather on the American east coast is tricky.
Well, especially during fall and winter.
I think it is particulary tricky in the Mid-Atlantic States (VA, MD, PA, DE).
We are stuck between the north-eastern states and the southern states. Therefore we get a weird mix between weather systems.
Winters and falls here can give you ALMOST any kind of weather.
One day it will be freezing cold, snowing, windy.
The next day it will be warm and totally calm.
The weather here is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you’re gonna get.
SO true, so very TRUE!!
Some winters we can have loads and loads of snow and ice.
Other winters it can be NADA.
I remember one Christmas Eve, the day started out warm, almost hot. During the afternoon a storm broke lose, and we dropped 23 degrees in ONE hour.
That is right, welcome to the DC-area.
If I like it?
No, not so much.
I would much rather have cold winters than this weird mix-up.
It is confusing. I am a cold weather person, and I NEED my cold weather and my snow.
No, I am not a person that could live in a climate where it is always summer.
I’d freak quickly.
My daugther, however, would not mind it ONE bit. She would not mind an eternal summer.
Peter? I think he’s sort of in the middle.
SO, anyway, yesterday was a like a true spring day in November. I took care of some things that needed to be done outside. AND, oh boy, did it wear me OUT. Let me tell you, I was working HARD!
I ALMOST started to put the christmas lights up. BUT I did NOT do it. NOOOO, NOOOO before you have a COW; I would not have lit them. I would just have rigged them.
Alas, I did not. But, I will, very soon.
Today? 10 degrees as a high. That would be 50 degrees on the Fahrenheit scale.
That WORKS for me.
Have a good one, y’all. Whatever weather you might have!

All the pics posted on my blog today were all taken during my PW yesterday. They are all shot with my iPhone. The iPhone never really rests. Canon can have long breaks, but the iPhone gets used for pictures every single day.

As you can see the nature still sports beautiful fall colors. HOWEVER, most trees now ARE--indeed--bare.

My instagram followers will recognize this picture from yesterday.

Kram!!!

KRAM!!
KRAMAR!!
SO true dat!
This is more up my alley. I like it. A lot!
HAHA, yes, I can always move to "YOU-know-where" :-)
Now I will go out and continue the xmas-prep!!
But, pretty soon I will, indeed, rig the lights.
MOHOHAHAHA!!!!
jätte vackert.
Vilken natur.
Kram!
TACK!
Ruth i Virginia
Ruth i Virginia
TACK!!
