Y'all know that I am---indeed---The Queen of Halloween.
I love that holiday as if I was a kid myself. And, maybe I am, a kid, that is.
Yesterday the weather was super nasty here. It started out HOT and HUMID.
As I was about to take off for my PW it started to POUR down rain.
OK, I thought, I can deal. Instead of walking I'll decorate the inside of my house (and parts of the outside) for Halloween!
Some people might think it is a bit early.
But, I have so much stuff that I have to decorate now to fully enjoy it. Halloween is happening in a mere three weeks.
And, once it is OVER it is SO OVER!!
November 1st, I will strip it ALL.
That goes for all the holidays I am decorating for. As soon as they (the holidays) are over I am ITCHING to take them down.
They have to come up a certain date, and they will have to go down on a certain date. NO matter WHAT!
Halloween, by the way, is ALWAYS on October 31st. I am not telling you Americans this, I am telling the Scandinavians. Many folks there are a bit confused on when Halloween REALLY takes place.
But, alas, it is always on October 31st.
Always. Every year.
SO, this is how it looks inside my home right now!
Most of my decorations are in the kitchen. I also have some in the living room, and some in the teenage room/guest room in the basement.
You have got to have loads of loads of candles.
Yesterday was a gloomy, gray day. A perfect day to lit candles.
SO, we will have to take a look at the outside decorations a bit later. Look out for that post, people!!
But, guess who's back in town?
That is RIGHT!!
SÖT is back!
YOU do remember SÖT, right (sweet/pretty in Swedish)?
SÖT is my decayed RAT!!
SÖT has got to come out an play every Halloween!
He has scared mail men, friends, UPS and FedEx delivery men. SÖT is like a dead watch rat, mohohahaha!!!
The cutest of them ALL, my SÖT!!
Anyway, I am happy that I am almost done with the decorations.
Today it is supposed to RAIN as well (we DO need it).
I will go to Barnes and Noble in Fairfax and have breakfast there. It's been SO long.
Hey, order up a grande Pumpkin Spice Latte!!!
IT IS FALL!!
