Saltis and M!
It was thru them, we found the little studio apartment we rented in Yorkville (on the Upper East Side).
Saltis and M invited us to dinner in their home our second night in town.
Thanks so much!!!
It was a hot week, as I wrote yesterday.
As a matter of fact, it was the hottest week, and the worst heatwave in New York, since 2002.
We were drenched pretty much all the time.
I was planning to take lots of power walks in NYC. But, it is very hard to do so when it it is 30 degrees (85F) at 7 AM and 90% humidity. It is ROUGH!!
This is The Reservoir in Central Park. It is huge, and BEAUTIFUL!!! I so wanted to walk around this lake, and bring the Canon. However, every morning was too hot. SO, I have yet to walk around The Reservoir. I will do it, though! In the fall!! This pic is taken with the iPhone.
iPhone. I thought for SURE I was going to return here later in the week. DAMN heatwave!!
This very evening my Canon camera battery died. I had to leave the dear Canon AT HOME!!!
Peter and I were heading for The Press Lounge, a sky bar in Hell's Kitchen. OH. MY. GOD!!!
THIS was NOT a good night for the battery to die since the place was so GORGEOUS!! What a view!!
And, I ONLY had my iPhone to document this lovely evening with. I. MISSED. MY. CANON
SO absolutely stunning! If you go to Manhattan you have GOT to visit this sky bar! I loved it!!!
Hubby and I in a typical iPhone pic!
Prosecco and cocktail. Perfect on a hot summer late afternoon.
As you can see the place is GREAT!!
I LOVE THIS VIEW over Midtown!!
The morning after we took a HOT walk down to The East River! There is a walking path over FDR-drive (the beltway surrounding Manhattan). Beautiful! Our studio was located close the The East River, very nice!
Lots of people out walking, or jogging, even in sweltering heat.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Peter is liking this exhibition at the museum.
WOW!! The view from the roof top at the museum. You could have wine, cocktails or beer here, but we only gulped down a bottle of water. IT was SO HOT!!! But the view was AWESOME!!!
And, if you're all up for it tomorrow you can come back and see more pictures from NYC!
Have a good Tuesday!
