Guess who's turning 15 on Friday?!
Yes, you are right, the little one is turning 15 on Friday.
I have a fifteen year-old!
HOW did that happen to a 26 year old?
I must be some kind of medical miracle ;-)
No, I was 30 when I had her. I was hardly a super young mother. But, today it seems like a lot of women have their first child around 35.
When I look back, I think 30 was a good age to have a baby.
That age worked great for me. Of course, if I had been 28 or 36 that would probably have been good, too.
My little baby, the girl with the blueberry eyes.
The girl with the smiles and the laughs.
The girl who cried almost every evening up until she was three months old.
The girl who ate so much her first year of life.
The girl who became a picky eater from the day she was about a year old.
The girl with all the humour!
Oh well, here are some pictures from her third to sixth month.
3 months old...
With Daddy at 3½ months. Peter favored some kind of Julius Ceaser look in the fall of 1996 :-)
At 3½ months Karolina got a cousin!! Ebba was born! Karolina looks a bit taken a back here. Yes, baby-daughter, that IS the sound a baby makes...
Today the two girls are best friends!
Karolina with my mormor, Sighnhild. This is the day we had Karolina christened in Bromma Kyrka in Stockholm. And now Karolina and my grandma, or Mommen as the great-grandkids call her, play poker and other card games together every summer.
At exactly 4 months old.
This was the high baby-fashion by the moment in 1996. I am sure all of you with girls born around 96 had this kind of hat for your little one. Karolina had these hats in a numerous amount of colors!
At five months old it was time to introduce cereal! And, boy, was that GOOD!!!
At exactly 6 months.
Now,the question is...
What do I get my 15-year old for her birthday?
