Now it is 2010, and I hope this year will bring nothing but joy for all of us.
It is time to take a look at the old year, and it is must fun to do so looking at pictures.
Here we go!
We had the first snowfall of the season in January! And, I loved it! Snow, ice and cold days are right up my alley! I hope we will get plenty of snow this winter! bring it on!
Obama swore in as president! A big day! I was glued to the TV the entire day, caught in the moment, touched. But very happy to be home on my couch and not downtown DC.
The first little spring flower is peaking out! A snowdrop (I think that is the English name for Snödroppe).
We have a warm spell as well! That is weird when the warmth hits during the winter. I am not a fan...
I am traveling to Stockholm to visit my relative who was not doing well then. Despite the illness (which is now taken care of, for good, we hope) the trip was wonderful. And Stockholm was a winter wonderland and I loved it!
The pic from the deck is taken on March, 31. It was utterly and truly spring in DC then. Lovely!
The deck is fixed up for the season in mid-April! True spring in DC, but despite this picture spring time in DC can be very "iffy", you'll never know what kind of weather you are going to get. It can be warm as the summer or cold as ice...
A wonderful trip to Puerto Rico, Aruba (in the picture), Curacao, St: Marteen and St: Thomas. SO lovely, and such a great experience! We're planning on going cruising again!
Summer, more or less! My roses are blooming and Reston is beautiful!
June evenings! Wonderful!
On the golf course, and in Great Falls.
By the summerhouse in Närpes, Finland. A must. Nothing but a lovely must!
We're still in Närpes...The family paradise.
I started my VLCD diet (very low calorie) and stuck to that one thru the entire fall, and succeeded! Great! After a break over Christmas I am on it again. It works!
Also, it is still summer, more or less!
One of my favorite months of the year! I just love the fall! The fall is the best season in the DC area!
And, of course it is Halloween, too (one of my favorite holidays).
We're taking our annual trip to NYC! Always fun, always a joy!
My favorite month of the year!
The night of our Christmas party the region got its first snowfall of the season. A lot of people did not make it due to the snow, but we had a blast.
And, of course you all know that we celebrated Christmas in Sweden, in a winter wonderland. If you want to see those pictures just scroll down the page...
That was my year in pictures.
I wonder what 2010 has in store?
I packed away all the Christmas decorations yesterday, and it took hours! AND, I did not even have that many decorations out this year!
I don't understand...
But, now it is ALL gone, inside and out. Pretty nice!
Have a good Tuesday!
