The summer is pretty much over with...
True, it will not be full-blown fall until mid-October, but still…
School is almost in session, the semester starts next Tuesday.
As always the summer went by quickly, and now it is time to reflect upon it.
My summer has been hectic, but good!
It started the first day of summer vacation, which is the day we went to Sweden, the three of us.
The first weeks in Sweden were just a whirl-wind of activities. Not relaxing for us, but FUN!
It started off with Midsummer celebration in Småland. We drove down from Stockholm; the drive is about 5-6 hours. My brother-in-law, Håkan, has a summer-house there! Such a nice house! In such a beautiful part of Sweden. We really did enjoy ourselves there! The nature is so beautiful and serene.
We celebrated Midsummer here in lovely Kroksnäs in Vislanda, Småland....
Then back to Stockholm again. Staffan and Lisa got married! Such a fun and beautiful wedding! We were dancing like crazy. They had the best DJ who was playing, mostly, music from the early 90’s! Needless to say; it was ROCKING in the castle!
The week after that I met up with lots of friends, we went out for dinner several times and we were sight-seeing some as well.
Peter then left for the US again and Karolina and I set sail for Finland.
Staffan and Lisa got married! Here is the beautiful bridal couple (photo taken by Lotta, pro-photographer)
Finland…The Summer House…All so lovely! I thank my maternal family for giving us that wonderful place on this earth. What would we be without it?
That is the place where I see my siblings every year. A place where all the cousins have the time of their lives, a place that we all love more than words can say.
My family is loud, fun and crazy! Never a dull moment. My Dad is a big jokester and my brothers are not that far behind. The laughing never ends. Pretty damn obnoxious for people that are not members of the family, I bet. But we have fun…
If you were walking or boating outside our house late at night you would hear laughing, no doubt. No TV in that house. That is a decision we have all made…We entertain ourselves
Instead we play games, card games or games outdoors…
I always miss the summer house…Always and always…The best place in the world!
Our Summer place...
Back in Sweden again, I was shopping until I dropped. Now I own, like, a heap of trendy clothes from one of the trendiest cities in the world. Cannot wait to wear them!
I also stocked up on books, DVD-movies and other things.
So, then it was time to leave for the US again. Always sad to part from all the loved ones at home, but…But, on the other hand it was absolutely lovely to be re-united with my beloved Peter again, and Karolina’s beloved dad.
And, yes, it is always nice to be back here in my own home, too…
Of course!!!
When we got back it was time for the trip to Myrtle Beach! Hot, hot, hot and humid…I still try to get over the fact that it was 86 degrees in the ocean!
All good down in South Carolina, lots of sun and lots of sand…I am still trying to get rid of some of it, ha, ha! All the cousins had the greatest time together at the beach, and I think all the adults enjoyed themselves as well.
A cloudy day at the beach, taken after a storm. I did not bring my cameras down to the beach during beach-hours. The risk of damaging my darling cameras was too big...
Now it is pretty much over with, the summer of 07! As always I have gained weight over the past two months. And, as always now is the time to get rid of it…
Pretty soon it will be power-walking grande again. Next week to be exact. It is time to start getting serious again. Back to walking, back to healthy eating habits…
Let’s enjoy the last week of the summer vacation! But the fall will be welcomed once it arrives!
Ciao!
A lovely afternoon down by the water by our summer

Kram!
Keith:
Good summer. Yes, the last pic.does say it all :-))
A-M:
Never mind!
