In Christmas heaven! Or, an explosion in pictures!

Good morning Tuesday!!

So, it is Christmas week.
Time has flown, as per always … IT is hard to grasp the fact that it is—INDEED—Christmas Eve the day after tomorrow. WEIRD.
Well, I am super, duper happy that I rigged my house for Christmas as early as I did this year. I am not tired of my decorations, or my Christmas cottage, what so ever. I know now that this will be a new tradition in my life. Yes, to pretty much start Christmas as soon as Halloween is over.
Because, people, it WORKS!!

I hope you all have had a good weekend.
Are you Christmas-stressed out?
MY guess is that you are NOT! So there — that’s a silver lining of this crappy year. We do not have to stress ourselves nuts over Christmas anno 2020. We will only celebrate with our immediate families.
And yes, some of us will be alone. A lot of people will be alone, as a matter of fact. I am sure that many of them are welcoming this fact as well. AND, of course a lot of them are NOT happy about it. BUT, this too shall pass, and I am convinced that next Christmas WILL be normal again.
AND, I am also sure that we will have learned a thing or two about ourselves, and our world, by then.

Anyway, Karolina and I took a trip to a real, full-blown Christmas Haven on Friday.
We went to Lucketts Country Store in the rural parts of Northern Virginia. I have been there twice before (always around Christmas).
Lucketts is like THE ultimate Christmas dream for us Christmas lovers. It is a mix between a Christmas market, flea market, antique store and design store. You’ll find Christmas galore everywhere, inside and out.

AND, to top it all off, the drive out to Lucketts was like driving thru a Christmas card.
Snow on the ground and hoarfrost on the trees (rimfrost). THIS fact blew me away!! The hoarfrost!! I have NEVER seen that weather phenomenon in Reston, or anywhere near DC before.
Sure, we have regular frost often during the winter.
BUT, never have I ever seen hoarfrost here before. As we drove to our destination we were awed by the winter landscape we drove thru.

With this, I wish you a good Tuesday.
I hope all is calm and bright in your world!
