When you guys are reading this post I think it might be snowing here.
It is safe to say that I got a bit fed up with Snowzilla.
No, noooo, not during her roaring rage as she was pounding and slamming us with huge amounts of the white stuff. I loved that.
BUT, I got SO tired of the aftermath. You know, icy paths, snow piles, disruptions. That kind of hoopla-ho.
I am fine, I think, with more snow. BUT, I do NOT want any big amounts at this time. No thank YOU!!
I love it now, again, when I can actually take my PW’s.
PW’s with POWER!
I am not limited anymore. However, one still has to look out for icy patches.
Nature is not very pretty at the moment.
It has that late-winter look. Still no spring in sight. Maybe several more storms are lined up?
I was looking for some signs of spring when out yesterday. I thought I would be able to find crocuses. NOPE. Not a single one of those in sight.
BUT, In the south-east corner in my little front yard I did find some snow drops. At least they are trying their best to come out.
Also, the sedum is coming on strong.
So, things are indeed happening.
Karolina used to really dislike the late winter. She was/is fed up with the winter colors of brown, gray and beige. And, indeed, those are the colors of the hour.
In Elon spring is about to happen, I think. it is another climate down there, six hours southwest of us.
Today all the little delicate flowers will all be covered by snow again.
Just do not let it be a sour aftertaste to this one, please.
BUT, when shopping yesterday I found my favorite flowers!! Daffodils!!
I love them!
I love buying them when they look like humble little asparguses. They are SO great as they come into full bloom.
I love them more than I love tulips.
So, I am bringing spring to me while the winter continues outside. And guess what, that is TOTALLY fine with me!!
Have a great Tuesday!
ALL the pics (EXCEPT THE ONE ABOVE. I SHOT THAT ONE ON SUNDAY) are taken with my iPhone during yesterday's Power Walk!
Seagulls are hanging out on very thin ice!
Yes, the ice still lingers on.
Beautiful, just lovely!! Or...??
This is a sidewalk. A sidewalk where I usually walk. This is also a sidewalk leading to the elementary school. The children have no other choice than to walk in the street. Not cool. Not cool at all.
The golf course is partly thawed out again, but not everywhere.
One of the neighborhood pools. In less than 4 months I can go swimming here...
WELL, I am very thankful that this sidewalk is cleared, a week ago it was impassable.
Sure, this is pretty much how it all looks now.
Part of the golf course.
The sedum outside my house.
Snowdrops outside my house!
Your typical sidewalk at the moment. Wonderful....
