It has been a fantastic weekend here in my part of the world.
The weather has been nothing but perfect!
But, the best fact of the entire weekend is that we have had Karolina here at home. THAT is always a joy for her old folks!
Sure, she's been seeing a lot of her friends as well (some other universities have fall break now as well). Karolina is always a busy bee when she's home in good, old Reston. SO much to do, SO many people to see.
I took the advantage to suggest a photo shoot. The kiddo said yes, and we were out!
Well, we stayed close to home, but still.
The afternoon was lovely (and as a photographer you are drawn to the right photo conditions at all times).
Me, my darling child and my Canon!
No, the photos below are not edited. I have a hard time editing portraits (I should take a class in that field of editing). It is a bit of a slippery slope when it comes to editing people.
Sure, one can remove a smudge on the face, or so. But I don't want to start making eyes look bluer and bigger, waist look skinnier, legs look longer...Well, you get the idea.
So, I am staying away from the editing tools when it comes to human beings.
So, with that being said; I'll miss Karolina when she leaves this afternoon.
Yes, it is time for her to head back to Elon. She'll take a flight with a stop-over in Charlotte, NC. She'll be at that airport for an hour, and then she's off to Raleigh. I so wish we had her booked on a direct Raleigh flight. But, it is what it is, really.
It is a good thing she likes flying.
When we'll see her again?
Thanksgiving! She'll be home for a week then.
My darling college girl!!
Have a good Tuesday!
