Welcome to another post in English, kids...
I am about to head to my hair stylist for a cut and highlights. Always a good feeling.
Oh, and I make sure not to ask for a "bl*ow J*ob" this time around ;-)
Promise not to make a fool of myself. Not this time...
IF I can help it, that is...
Ingrid and I went to the nursery yesterday. We took her swager wagon, also known as a mini-van.
Yes, it was a good thing we took her car because the car was shock full of plants when we left the nursery...
The FUNNIEST thing happened at the nursery. I was walking around looking at the plants when I spotted a lady in a t-shirt with the Swedish flag on. Yes, the t-shirt was designed with a Swedish flag, and the words "Sweden" and "Sverige" (Sweden in Swedish) on it.
I reacted right away and said;
(Although I said it in Swedish.)
The woman was American, but she had been to Sweden on vacation (and she loved it).
BUT, the American woman told me that there was another Swedish woman in the nursery, too. A woman that had just stopped her and told her the same thing as I had told her.
The other Swedish woman walked by, and the American woman called her over.
WE started to chat. And we told each other our names.
TURNS out that the nice lady READS MY BLOG!!!!
That is just so funny!! It is the first time it has happened that I have bumped into a reader like that!!
I loved it.
And, I loved that the Swedish woman knew who I was!
Turns out she's another Restonian with grown up kids that she and her husband raised in Reston.
I love those kinds of meetings!!
I spent the afternoon fixing up my front yard. But I am NOT done...
We had huge rain storms in the afternoon.
However, the plants that I still have left won't walk away. So, I know what I will do as soon as I get home from the hair stylist today!!
Have a good one!!
In these pics I hope you can see how much it rained...
