I hope this Tuesday is treating you good.
IT is officially the first day of fall.
I am just enjoying the current weather so much. In my humble opinion, this is the best season of the entire year.
The weather is usually clear, the days are blue and there is hardly any humidity in the air. One just has to love it!
IF you feel like visiting Washington! Come now!!
The summer is too hot, the spring is too iffy and the winter is just blah…
I enjoy my PW’s more now than ever!
When I write this post (it is pre-published) I am sitting outside, it is like “the perfect Swedish summer day”, a famous saying among us Swedes in the area.
Of course, today, Tuesday, the weather is predicted to be more humid. SO, maybe I should not say so much, after all...
My garden looks so good!
Since I seem to be the Hydrangea queen around here, I can see how my biggest Hydrangea is starting to bloom again. I wonder if it thinks that it is spring again.
For some reason the Hydrangeas seem to love my garden, they thrive, and I am so happy for that.
I think we will have another month of "summer” like weather. Since I am keeping a dairy I can so easily check when Peter and I have turned on the heat for the season in the past. That usually takes place in the middle of October, and it is also around that time that I diss all my summer clothes in favor for the fall and winter clothes. I am so looking forward to that. I really am!
I love the fall!
Heck, I even love rainy, gray and dark days. Yes, the chilly days.
I love curling up inside, lighting some apple spice candles, writing, or reading…
I also love when Peter and I fix dinner on a cold Saturday night during the fall and winter season, trying out a new wine and a new recipe.
And, during the fall there are SO many places to go around here! Apple orchards, pumpkin patches, wineries, hiking in the Shenandoah. The possibilities are endless!
Oh, yes---pretty soon we have one of my favorite seasons lurking around the corner---Halloween!!! And three weeks after Halloween it is Thanksgiving (another favorite holiday), and after Thanksgiving it is almost Christmas (MY BIG TIME FAVORITE).
Help! Time flies! It really does!
Let’s enjoy here and NOW!!
My garden in September...
And on the golf course, behind my house, it looks like this...
