So yesterday we returned back home again, and it feels good to be here again.
Karolina misses EVERYTHING Disney and she does not want to return to school today. And, to top it all off she has an appointment with the dentist this afternoon. Back to life, back to reality.
But we have had a good week despite the cold weather and the occasional rain. It was a bit shocking with the crowds, so unexpected. And, I guess you can say the same about the weather.
And since I am back, and away from the sloooow broadband at the hotel, I can now show you all some pics!
In the morning:
This is the newest roller-coaster at WDW. It is called "Expedition Everest" and both Karolina and I passed on it. Peter rode it, and loved it, even though he thought it was tamer this second time around. He rode it for the first time two years ago when it was brand new, and so did Karolina and I, and we thought we were going to die, so therefore we did not dare to ride it this time.
At Animal Kingdom.
Animal Kingdom is probably our least favorite park at WDW. So, just because of that we split day one between AK and Disney Hollywood Studios, former MGM.
Karolina and I at Hollwood Studios! This was our warmest day during the entire week.
On picture two you see pic from "Tower of Terror". Peter loved the ride, and Karolina and I chickened out so he had to ride it himself (that is the typical thing for my dear hubby. He's married to a coward when it comes to rides. Karolina is getting braver slowly but surely). Peter said the interior of "The Tower" was fantastic!
Rock n'roller coaster. Yes, of course Peter had to ride it alone. He says it is Disney's best ride, so keep that in mind if you are about to head to WDW anytime soon!!
Karolina the actress to be!!!
Beautiful flowers and flower beds are seen everywhere at WDW.
Pictures from the afternoon parade:
Mickey Mouse, Mary Poppins and Snow White.
We had dinner at "The Hollywood Brown Derby" this evening, and after dinner we went to see "Fantasmic"! That is a laser/fireworks show! Very good!!!
And then we left the park...
Jammed packed day.
WE had lunch at "The Garden Grill" and all these carachters came up to greet us!!! So fun!
Beer and ice-cream break in England, at the World Showcase. Right across the lake you can see Norway.
We came back in the evening again and had dinner in "France". Good. It was raining SO hard this evening and it was COLD as can be.
The best rides at Epcot:
* Soarin (ALWAYS the longest line. Get a Fast Pass!)
* Test Track (SOOO fun!!! Loved it, even though I was scared the first time I rode it, but it was the best)
In front of Cinderella's Castle.
MY favorite ride at MK, The Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I don't know how many times I rode this roller caoster during this trip? Maybe ten?
Scenes from MK: The Haunted Mansion (GOOD ride), and a scene from "Fantasy Land".
Picture taken from "The Swiss family Robinson's Tree House"!
And then some well deserved kick-back time at the Polynesian Resort!
We had dinner at "The California Grill" at The Contemporary Resort this evening, wonderful! SO good!
Back at Epcot, at the World Showcase.
Yes, and Karolina met a certain duck!!
Germany and Norway.
It was raining SO hard on and off this day, and that took away so much from the experince.
In the evening: Back to Magic Kingdom for the "Princess and Pirate Party", and that was the BEST night if the week! NO lines, just fun! No crowds. If you ever travel to WDW off-season take advantage of this party! Only ticketholders to this event have access to the park! We had a blast!
I have never, ever in my life seen fire-works as I saw them this night! Totally fantastic! We were right next to Cinderella's Castle at 9:30 PM when we the whole sky lit up! Everywhere!! It was the most beautiful dispaly of fire-works I've seen in my entire life!
Karolina and her cousins are enjoying the show in front of Cinderella's Castle.
Me riding the Tea-cups with Karolina and Mia.
Our Niece Mia,7, got dolled up for the party! She was Ariel, dressed in her bridal gown!! SO pretty and so adorable!
Totally out of energy...
Magic Kingdom for a couple of hours and then off to Downtown Disney.
Thanks to my in-laws for this trip to WDW!!!!
