I cannot believe that this is the second to last day of 2008.
Where did the year go?
What did I do?
I am sitting here thinking back on the year that is about to leave us.
And, I am so wondering…
One year older, one year wiser (?)
One year. What did I accomplish?
Pretty soon it is time for me to start writing in my brand new 2009 diary. I am about to fill out blank days in a year I have zero clues about. What lies ahead? What will fill those empty 365 pages? What will happen?
Will my biggest wish come true? Will I be disappointed in the end?
When I am sitting with said diary in my hand, I get almost an overwhelming feeling. In the end of next year, all of these pages will (hopefully) be filled. But, filled with what? What words will I write…?
Do you remember those old fashioned New Year’s cards picturing the new year coming in like a baby, and the old year disappearing as an old man?
I do believe that a year can change a person that much. What if you entered the new year healthy, and what if you exit the year sick? Then you have aged, mentally, a whole life time…
My wish for 2009 is health!! I wish for health for me and health for all my friends and loved ones.
Just as last year, and the year before, this blog has brought me so much joy! I can honestly say that it has given me numerous new friends. It is simply amazing!
I think it is remarkable that I can “travel” around the world every day to “meet” my blogging friends. They are everywhere; here in the US we are many bloggers. Many, many bloggers are found in Sweden, I have a few dear favorites in Finland (in the Swedish speaking parts), one big time favorite is located in Egypt, Australia has a few, Greenland has one cool girl, and Canada has one of my dearest favorites. I have favorites in Scotland, England, Norway and in Ireland as well! We are everywhere!!
You all rock!!
Girls! Let’s keep on blogging, yeah, keep on blogging!!!
Happy New Year!!
