Just some thoughts...
It is Tuesday again and time for another post in English.
I really don’t have much to say today, and I know so many of you check out my blog every day of the week regardless if it a Swedish day or an English day.
I also know that a lot of you use Google Translate (you poor people, you).
Google Translate is fun, but the blog writer herself sure sounds like a moron, that is how bad the translation is. But, I guess you get some kind of clue about what I am writing about.
Oh, and then you can always just look at my pics…
I ran out of space on my Picasa (google) account and I had to buy more space from Google, that was an easy fix, and now I can post pics until my heart is content again. I mean, how fun is my blog without pics?
I cannot even write the shortest little post on Facebook without a picture attached to it. I am addicted to pictures in posts, I guess.
I usually use my iPhone when posting on Facebook, but heck, lately I haven’t posted anything on FB. I think the allure is going away. Again. Besides, I think a lot of people seem to think FB is pretty dead by the moment. It is easy to tell, except for a few die-hards that are eager up-daters.
What will the next big thing be in the interactive social cyber world?
I am also trying to teach myself Photoshop, and it is going OK. The best thing for me would be to sign up for a course, either online or elsewhere. The program is so huge, and so complex.
The rain and the super cold air have left the DC area for now. Now it is clear and sunny skies again. It is nice, but I did not mind the gray and rainy weather either, not one bit. I think it is quite cozy.
But, hey, that is me!
As you all know, I am in tune with the coziness-factor inside my home! It is easy to make a cozy environment everywhere.
Peter, Karolina and I are now suckers for a new show (for us), “How I Met Your Mother”. We love it! And we‘ve got seasons 1-3 on DVD and that is how we catch up on it. TV is best on DVD, always! So, now we curl up every night watching an episode or two (or three). FUN!!
Halloween is fast approaching! It is easily one of my favorite holidays of the year. Usually a friend of ours throws a huge Halloween (adults only) party, but there will be no such thing this year. I will miss it. I just hope the party is on again next year.
After Halloween, comes Thanksgiving, another one of my favorite American holidays. A holiday I have learned to love over the years. I am looking forward to it this year again, and hopefully my body has turned into a size six by then…
Thanksgiving is the beginning of the Christmas season (eating season). After Thanksgiving, there will be an array of parties and get-togethers and -----food.
THE hardest, the absolute hardest thing, with being on a diet is social situations. I think all dieters out there are agreeing with me. But, we just have to find a golden solution that is working for us. And, of course you have to let yourself enjoy a glass of wine and some good food during the parties.
But I am not going to let myself gain five pounds this holiday season. NO way! Instead there has to be more working- out involved, and smaller portions and not as much candy and "julmust" (Swedish Christmas soda) like I usually eat and drink. Nuff is nuff.
Have the best of Tuesday's today!
