Thanksgiving week it is!
I’ll write more about the wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow.
Here and now, this strange fall of ours.
Karolina is home now.
She arrived late Friday night. She turned right around on Saturday again to visit friends at University of Virginia (UVA).
Karolina stayed at UVA for the night and partied and had fun.
No rest for her, but on the other side it is FUN to see old high school friends, too.
And now she’s been treated for both a strep infection AND a staph infection. That is the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. Karolina is getting better FAST!!
Peter and I were staying (over the weekend) at the home front (as always, haha).
A nice dinner Saturday night.
And, that came with the season's first glögg martinis. Always SO good.
I think the first glögg martini of the season IS the best glögg martini.
LOVE this drink!!
We have also prepared a lot for Christmas. All the Christmas lights are rigged outside now.
Not lit at night yet. But all is ready to go!
So nice to have it ALL done, because it is so time consuming.
Inside my kitchen over the weekend. A strange fusion is going on between fall and Christmas.
As you all know, Peter and I are cranking in those 10,000 steps a day.
We take our walks, and we sure do enjoy them
Peter's out on a walk on Sunday morning.
It’s been soooo windy this weekend.
I am not a fan of high winds at all.
The fall this year is … strange.
A very weird fall. I cannot recall anything like this from previous years.
Some trees are still green.
Some trees never turn yellow/orange/red at all. They just drop their leaves. Green. Drop. Done.
Some trees are yellow forever.
Some trees are totally bare.
Some trees are just ugly brown.
Simply, a strange and odd fall in the year of the lord 2017.
Under normal circumstances every tree should be bare now, but not this year.
It is totally OK in a way with me, because it makes nature more beautiful.
But, it is also very odd.
The experts say it is due to a very dry and warm August and September. I believe in that.
Green tree. Yup, the fall of 2017 ...
I wish you all a nice Tuesday!!
A mix of everything.
SO green. Is it August or November???
This is the street right outside my subdivision. I love this pretty road in all seasons.
