Good morning mid November!
Do you think it is strange that we’re entering the middle of this month?
It is, I think.
Time does fly.
And, fall tends to fly faster than any other season. Or, I might add, that is my opinion.
You might think that summer flies?
Or, I don’t know.
Leaves are fading ... All photos in this post are taken with my iPhone.
November in my neck of the woods.
We’ve had a very cold weekend.
Saturday it was 20 degrees (-7C) when we woke up.
A lot of the flowers in my front yard had froze to death in the bitter cold air.
It was calm outside. Beautiful.
The pond on the golf course where I live.
Peter and I are both kind of obssessed to get our steps in on a daily basis. We always aim for those 10.000 steps.
If we are out on hike, we will get a lot more than 10,000. But 10.000 is good on an every day basis.
So, out we went into the cold weather.
NO big deal for me to walk in cold weather. No big deal for Peter either, even though he can fret more about it than I do, hehe.
We enjoyed a nice breakfast at Starbucks, and then a long walk home.
Misty Monday morning by Lake Thoreau.
Saturday evening was spent at The Kennedy Center where we saw the musical “Book of Mormon”.
OH, it was SOOOO good. I’d love to see it again.
SO funny! And, the music was right up my alley.
Also, the mormon church (and maybe very religious people in general) must hate this musical as it really makes fun of mormons.
I say, why not? (such a strange religion in the first place).
So, if you get a chance to see it, do so!!
Here and now.
Sunday, another long walk for me and hubby.
We did what my strong MOM does, we took a back pack each and walked to the grocery store. Filled said backpacks with groceries we bought for the week, and then we took a long walk home with HEAVY packs!
My mom, she’s 77!! She does this A LOT. She walks from her home in Blackeberg to Vinsta (where the nearest COOP Forum is located). She shops, and then she walks home with a super heavy pack on her back! Maybe 8 kilometers all in all?
Yay, my strong MOTHER!! I aim to be just like her!
So, new goals are to skip the car more and more and walk to the grocery store with a backpack, haha.
Now, a new week is dawning.
A good week, we shall hope!
Have a good Tuesday y’all!!
