It is winter outside. I love it.
I just love it.
Sadly, it’ll be mild again tomorrow. On Thursday it will be 63F (17C). Gosh, I do NOT like that.
If it was all up to me we would have 25F all winter long (around -5C) and a bit of snow on the ground. Again, if I had a say, it would stay like that until March.
But, nooooooo, if you live in the Mid-Atlantic states this is the winter you have to deal with. One day it is UP, the next day it is way down.
Bi-polar and schizophrenic.
As always in the winter time. Every year the same thing ...
BUT, people, I am a walker again.
I took my first long walk yesterday morning.
It was fantastic. Yes, it was wonderful.
I ventured up to Lake Thoreau. It took longer than usual. I cannot put any POWER in my steps yet. It is too early for that.
I still limp a little bit, and the knee aches if I am not careful.
BUT, I am progressing. It feels so good.
This is how it looks now. So, yes sure, you have got to be a bit careful.
No, it wasn't ideal conditions yesterday. I don’t care at all about the cold weather. It was 18F (-8C).
But, there were icy spots everywhere. One has to be careful about those.
The last thing I want to is to slip and fall. THAT would be devastating. Sure, I have good shoes, but I have to take it easy (and be on the lookout) regardless.
I love ice-porn! So fun to see it by Lake Thoreau again this year ;-)
Yup, yup, loving this!
Though, folks, it was lovely!
So nice being out there again.
I still cannot grasp that Trump will be our next president. It still feels surreal. Who is this crazy, unstable, overly sensitive, loose canon of a man?
I get scared.
I really do.
I think he will dig his own political grave.
Trumps reactions on Twitter, his latest outbursts about the great Meryl Streep and her peers in Hollywood (her speech at the GG was fantastic and spot on, by the way). This is our new commander in chief? Lord help us.
I will not watch the inauguration on TV. No way.
I still hope I can venture in to DC on January, 21 for the big event, Million Women March. I really, really hope me and my friends can travel downtown that day.
A Christmas soda, julmust, exploded in the cold on the deck. A bit like Trump does when he gets mad at people.
Just some thoughts this very morning.
Have a good one, y’all!!
And, I am out and about again (pic taken by Peter Sunday morning)
