We got a tad bit of snow yesterday.
Enough snow to brighten the world. Enough snow to delay the schools with a two hour late opening here in Fairfax County where I live.
I am sure the school kids in my area are craving a snow day by now. There has been zero of those days so far this year.
No problems taking a drive on Soapstone Drive this morning. None at all. Snow, yes, but just a pretty and inconvenient snow.
The woods are so pretty when covered in a layer of snow.
Snow makes me happy!
It really does.
Maybe we should sit down for a chat? Or maybe not ...
I took a walk in it. I mean, could I even resist?
There was NO P to the W yesterday. None of that. It was slippery, and I had to take it VERY easy while walking.
However, I did walk around Lake Thoreau. It took a bit longer than usual due to icy patches along the paths and me photographing more than I usually do.
I just love when snow paints the neighborhoods.
I can tell you one thing, you HAVE to look out for patches of ice and black ice. YOU just have to!
This is not enough snow in any way. Hardly a dusting, but it felt lovely. AND, I do hope we’ll get more snow this winter.
February has not even started yet, so there is still hope. Or, so I reckon.
Well, one will have to see.
Usually the lakes should be covered in ice this time of the year ...
Today it will ALL be gone. We’re expecting a temperature of 50 F (10C) today and tomorrow.
I get so tired …
Bring in a blizzard. Bring it now!
Have a good Tuesday!
Lake Thoreau, the east end.
The golf course right outside my house.
Do you see the fox? We have several foxes living on the golf course. I like them a lot. Sometimes you can hear them scream, especially at night. A gruesome sound ...
Fluffy grass and fluffy snow.
