Elon delivers every time.
It is a dream for a photographer to walk its grounds.
There is beauty behind every corner.
Yes, we are very proud Elon parents!
Peter and I are so happy that Karolina decided to go to Elon. It'll give her the perfect college campus experience. She would not have had this at all if she were going to NYU, for example.
Peter often says to Karolina; You can always move to NYC once you're done with school. BUT, you can never have this true, beautiful campus experience again.
That is SO very TRUE!!
The Historical District in the morning sun!
Bikes outside the Performing-Arts Department. It is very popular among the students to bike from one place to another. I like that!
And, ever so often you'll see golf carts on campus. You might think you are in a country club, if you did not know better!
View from the drama school, what you see here is the Global Village, a brand new part of the campus.
Karolina takes Statistics and English in these two buildings.
There are flowers, and flower beds, everywhere. Just stunning!!
Right outside the library.
The student herself!
George, Genny and Karolina. Three dear BFA-Acting friends!!
And, we went to a football game Saturday night. A lot of tail gating surrounding it. Fun for all! Music, food, games etc.
It hit me that SO many girls wear cowboy boots and dresses at Elon. BUT, it is the South, after all. You'd never see this where I live. In the DC-area it is SO rare to see cowboy boots, hats etc. I think it is kind of fun to see fashion like that coming on strong at Elon!
Karolina and Genny before the game.
A piece of true Americana; an American College Football game! I am SO not a fan of American Football, neither college nor NFL-football. I think it is so incredibly boring. BUT, I do like everything surrounding a big game; the atmosphere, the show aspect, the Marching Band, the Cheer Leaders, the Dance Team, the Drill Team, the Mascot, the music!
ALL that is fun to be part of!
It is less than three weeks until Karolina will be home for her fall break. Karolina will fly to DC then. The next time Peter and I will return to Elon is when it is time to move her home for her Christmas break. I really don't think we'll return to Elon before then.
Karolina will, of course, be home for Thanksgiving as well. At Thanksgiving she'll take a bus from Elon U straight to NoVA. Perfect!
I feel great now as I know that Karolina has such a great time at University. It makes my life a lot easier.
I think I am coming in for a landing....
