It has been so incredibly hot the last couple of days. Painfully so.
Yesterday it was around 32 degrees Celsius, and 90% humidity.
Let me tell you, it was HOT!!
Peter and decided to go for a hike. I know, call us CRAY! But, we did it!
We went to nearby Difficult Run. I love the fact that we have access to so many trails in this area!
The trails, and the paths, are everywhere.
The easy access to nature is so very important to me!!
Beyond the beaten path...
Here, you can actually see how humid it is!
Green as can be...
The name of the creek is Difficult Run. It was so hot that we almost jumped into the muddy waters of said creek.
And, here you had to jump over the creek...Yup, that is right...I am glad I did not slip and fall...
I made it!!
All of a sudden we found a raccoon on the trail. No, I did not take a pic of it. The raccoon probably had rabies. Racoons are nocturnal animals and you usually do not see them during the day. It was kind of creepy as the raccoon just stared at us. We took a long loop around the animal.
This is Poison Ivy! Poison Ivy grows everywhere in the woods. You have got to careful of this plant. IT will sting you, and it will burn for a very, very long time.
So, that was yesterday's hike. Peter and I were drenched to the bone when we were done! We actually got a bit lost as well. Thank God for the GPS's on the iPhones!
The rest of the day continued to be HOT. In the afternoon a big thunderstorm broke lose. Thunderstorms are common in afternoons on hot days in the summertime.
Today it is BUSINESS as usual. It is fall, some people say...
I am going to my hair stylist. Again. It is time to get rid of all the gray. Again.
Have a nice Tuesday!
