Today I have declared myself HEALTHY!
IF I say so, I am healthy, you hear!
No, but really, I feel a lot better now.
Let’s list a few things, shall we..
* Since I am finally feeling better today I will head out to the store World Market.
At World Market you can find a lot of Swedish stuff, like JULMUST (Swedish Christmas soda), pepparkakor (ginger snaps) and lots of other good things. I cannot wait to step out of the house for the first time in five days. YAY!
Here are a few things I am LOOKING FORWARD to right now!
* Thanksgiving Week!
I love the feeling of Thanksgiving week. People are excited for the big holiday. It is a short week. It is LATE fall. I am crazy in love with that week. Yes, “that week” starts on Monday.
And, of course I look forward to Thanksgiving day!
* Black Friday!
Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving. It is a HUGE shopping day. However, I will not shop.
Peter, Karolina and our good friend Keith has a great tradition in spending Black Friday in Reston Town Center. We start with the Christmas parade, afterwards we always meet up with our friends-- The B family-- for lunch. After lunch the three of us + Keith go see a movie, after the movie we usually meet up with the B family again for drinks. We will then all watch the lightening of the Christmas tree and then we all go out for dinner. It is a very nice day for all of us. A tradition we have held for a very long time.
* Thanksgiving weekend also means decorating for Christmas. I C*A*N*N*O*T wait!
* I believe in the concept that MORE is INDEED MORE!!
No paltry decorations in my house. OH NO!! NO minimalism. NO WAY!!
This year I am planning to decorate more than ever. Yes, it is a hard job, but this chick loves it.
* A movie I look forward to watch is Anna Karenina.
I cannot wait to see it.
Anna Karenina has fascinated me since I was a little girl. The Swedish Television showed BBC’s version of Anna Karenina as a mini-series in the late 70's and I fell in love. Totally! I think the new movie will be a MASTER PIECE!!!
One of the greatest, and most tragic, love stories of all time.
* I am looking forward to this weekend.
We’ll have some friends over for a dinner. I know exactly what to make. A relief.
* I am looking forward to our yearly trip to NYC.
I am not sure when we will be going, but sometime in December. A Broadway show is a MUST this time around. And, we will check out some universities in Manhattan as well.
* I am looking forward to our annual Christmas party here in our home.
Sure, yes, and---abso-effing-lutly--- is that a lot of work for me and Peter. BUT it is also a lot of fun.
* I am also looking forward to New Year’s Eve, but I know that I AM not hosting that party, for certain ;-)
Have a very nice Tuesday!
