School has been in session for a week.
I am back at Weight Watchers FULL time again (lost five pounds, WOOT!!!)
The power-walks are back as well.
It is fall, or something...
I cannot really say that it is fall yet, but it is not summer either. However, it feels like summer weather wise.
It is the kind of feeling you'd get after Christmas and New Year's; The Christmas decorations linger on... but the SEASON is OVER.
Today we are going to take another look at my beloved, and VERY beautiful, hometown Stockholm again.
These pictures are taken in August during my last week in Stockholm before I headed back to Washington again.
Let's take a look, shall we...
These pics are taken in the Sofia Quarters on the South side in Stockholm. This used to be the absolute poorest area in the city during the 1800's. Now it is as hip, and pittoresque, as it can be.
The Sofia Church is so BEAUTIFUL!!!
Karolina has such a special bond--and relationship-- with her grandparents. I am so thankful that she has been able to spend so much time with them ( both in Stockholm and in Ostrobothnia) during her entire childhood. SO grateful. Stockholm is truly her second home on this earth.
My last Saturday in Sweden for this summer was spent at my brother Staffan's place in Viksjö. Yes, we had a crayfish party. SO nice. And we sang loads of songs, old and new. Special...

My bro, Staffan.
I will end this post with this remarkable view that I have come to love so much!! You know, the view from Sara and Håkan's apartment on the island of Kungsholmen in Stockholm. I wonder how many hours that were spent there the past summer? How many meals I have had there? How many drinks? OH what a great time!! I think we will be back in Stockholm for Christmas again!
That, my friends, concludes my summer vacation in Sweden, and Finland, for 2011.
I am so glad that you have enjoyed all the photos here with me.
Now it is time to say; HELLO FALL!!!
