Is it too early to start talking about Christmas?
Would you freak out if I were to start?
CAN you guys believe that it is almost December?
I, for one, have no idea where this fall went.
OK, I went to Finland and Sweden in September. But, other than that I have no clue where this autumn ended up.
We, in da US, will be celebrating Thanksgiving in about two weeks.
And, right after Thanksgiving it is time do decorate for the HOLIDAY SEASON!!!
All right, Thanksgiving is INDEED the TRUE beginning of The Holiday Season, but Thanksgiving is a humble holiday, no need for big decorations then.
It is kind of funny, Thanksgiving is the biggest holiday of the year here in the US. Everybody celebrates! No matter what religion you are.
Yet again, there are hardly no commerce around it.
Sure, yes, you have ALL the traditional foods. You know; the turkey, the stuffing, the sweet potatoes, the sweet potatoe gratin (AH DEAR, the one with the marshmallows), the corn, the mashed potatoes, the cranberries. And, sure, the desserts: pumpkin pie, apple pie and pecan pie.
YOU eat. And you talk. AND you hang out. AND, you WILL end up in a FOOD COMA. THAT is about IT!
It is a huge family holiday.
The biggest travel days of the year take place during Thanksgiving week.
But, alas, no decorations, no Thanksgiving songs, no presents. NO PRESSURE!!
BUT, as soon as Thanksgiving is OVER with, it is Christmas!!!
It really IS!
The Christmas Season starts with Black Friday, traditionally one of the biggest shopping days of the year.
I am ready for Christmas.
I can bring it ON very SOON!!
Please, I love it!
I go nuts!!
Sure, I am the Queen of Halloween, as you all know. BUT, I am The Queen of Christmas as well!
I do realize that many of us are, indeed, Queens of Christmas.
I kneel in front of ALL of you.
Bring it ON! MORE is MORE!!
A true Queen of Christmas!! I bow to thee!! You are amazing! Maybe I should dress up like this for the month of December. What say you? I shot the pic during lasts year's Holiday Parade here in Reston. I hope I'll see this fine Christmas Queen this year again!!
I am ready for Christmas music. Hell, Wash-FM here in DC, starts playing Christmas tunes 24/7 soon. I believe they start airing them the Friday BEFORE Thanksgiving.
Yours Truly approved?
I have not bought a single Christmas gift yet. Nope.
BUT, I have bought some Christmas decorations, and some food.
Yes, in my basement you are sure to find several bottles of “julmust”, the traditonal Swedish Christmas soda. I happened to find said soda at World Market.
It is ALMOST time for the BEST time of the year!
Are you GUYS ready!???
