Hello and good morning!!
The weekend has come and gone.
Flying by fast, as always.
Cherry trees in my neighborhood.
It’s been a good one.
Happy Hour at good friends on Friday night.
A good dinner at our place on Saturday night.
A movie on Sunday, Ready Player One.
I liked it so-so. I give it two and half stars. Peter really liked it. Peter has read the book as well, and it IS his kind of movie.
I have NEVER been into computer games and tv games at all. Ok, in the 80’s I did like to play a round of Mario Bros. every now and then.
And, we did have those little devices where you could play Donkee-Kong, Parachute rescue and the turtle bridge. Nintendo stuff.
But I was never obsessed by it. It might be a dude thing. OR, I take that back, I know a lot of girls that love playing computer games as well.
At one point in my grown up life, I was kind of obsessed with THREE games that Karolina had on her pink Nintendo DS!
One was Mario Kart. After Karolina had gone to bed, I borrowed her DS and I played Mario Kart up to a point where I could not sleep when it was time to do so. HAHA. Yes, true story!! This must have been sometime around 2006?
I am not sure.
I was also obsessed by Cake Mania and Cooking Mama.
I could play those games until there was no end.
But the strategic computer games, not so much.
I never got into those.
SO, therefore I did not get into Ready Player One so much either. As I said, Peter loved it. There were some interesting sequences in the movie, like when the core crew watches the movie The Shining and they ALL end up INSIDE the movie. I loved that! That was cool.
The music was great as well. SO, if you DID play a lot of computer games in the 80’s I think this movie might right for you!
The weather has been kind of cold.
But, that is about to change BIG time. In the end of the week, we will get temperatures in the mid 80's F, or in the 27-29 C.
I don’t know what I think about that one either …
Why does it have to be SO hot when it has been so cold for so long. I would rather have had it around 64F, 18 C.
The warm weather should come on slowly but surely. NOT like a heat bomb.
OH well …
Oh well …
We are going to Elon anyway. But, sure, it won't be colder there, exactly.
Cherry trees by Lake Thoreau, pic taken yesterday. IT was cold. I even saw some snowflakes!! Weird!!
Tonight my x-neighbor Sara will come over to my place. THAT will be fun. Ingrid is coming as well.
It’s like a blast from the past.
All right, friends, I hope you all had a very good weekend.
What did you all do?
Have a nice Tuesday!
