Morning wherever you are!!
I hope y’all had a good weekend in your neck of the woods.
I hope you did something fun.
Here and NOW! Spring for us ALL!
Peter and I had a nice one. Friday, we hung out on the deck in the afternoon. Our good friend Keith joined us.
No, our deck is not fixed for the season yet. The fix up of The Best Deck will commence this weekend. I cannot wait!
It is time now! Spring IS here for reals, people. There is NO denial anymore. IT. IS. SPRING!
It is also time to switch wardrobes.
Bye bye to winter clothes and hello to summer clothes!
Now is the time to do so!
This tree!! I love it. An Eastern Redbud, one of my favorites come spring!!
Other than that, we have fixed up our front and back yard for the upcoming season. All I have to do now is plant.
And, I will do so this week!
Hello summer! I am so psyched to plant and make my little front yard cozy and lovely. I love my whimsical theme out there.
You will find small and unexpected little knickknacks out there. You will find lanterns and fairy lights as well. Both front and back.
Hygge and coziness will rule!
Virginia Bluebells, so very springy and so very lovely!
Eastern Redbuds, I rest my case ...
Peter and I tried a new restaurant on Saturday evening Founding Farmers, a stones throw from our house.
Nice bar, nice hang out and decent food. I think it is hard to find top of the line food at a restaurant these days. Maybe I am too picky? Maybe I am sick of going out? Not sure.
But, nine times out of ten I’ll make a better version of said foods at home.
This applies to most mid-priced to high-priced places. Really exclusive restaurants are top of the line. Cheaper places can also be better than a mid-priced place.
BUT, needless to say, a cozy restaurant with an awesome bar can really make up for a lot of things. AND, I do love to have so many places to pick from close to me. Love it, even though I would rather cook myself, haha.
Yes, it is nice hanging in a bar. I do think so!
Sunday was confirmation day for Peter’s youngest nephew. A nice occasion for the family.
Peter got annoyed at me--and the confirmands paternal aunt--because we where whispering to each other thru the church service. HAHA. No big deal in my opinion, plus that it was fun. HAHA.
The paternal aunt has a voice of an angel as well, and can read notes even though she does not know the hymns, so she sings like a pro and it is fantastic just standing next to her while she sings.
So, we had fun and I loved standing/sitting next to this VOICE, thanks Sally-Jane!! Even thought we made Peter annoyed ;-)
It is getting greener and greener!
What did ya’ll do over the weekend?
