The long weekend is over with.
Both here in the US, in the UK and in Scandinavia.
Not the same holiday, but a long weekend for us all.
All the pictures in today's post are from my little front yard.
Memorial Day here in the US.
A day to remember fallen soldiers.
And, as I said on Friday, also the day that signals the start of the summer season.
The weather has been iffy. As always—it seems— these days,
Lots and lots of rain.
Gray, dark skies and a bit on the cooler side.
However, yesterday was a bit of a hot and humid day in my neck of the woods.
Can you tell that I love owls? I want my little sliver of a garden to be nice, green, a bit "out of order" and whimsical.
Karolina loves her summer job at J Crew. Very happy that she likes it so much. She likes her managers and the costumers alike.
And lucky girl, the first day of work she got to pick up an outfit worth 300 schmacaronis. She picked a pair of high wasted white jeans, a cotton blouse and a denim jacket (a denim jacket is SO J.Crew).
My arm is better now.
It gets a little better each and every day.
The plastic surgeon was very pleased with the look of it. BUT, I have to continue with the ointment, and the dressing, until at least the seventh of June. I have an appointment with him again on June, 7, and then I will have to see what he has to say then.
I am not on ANY pain killers anymore.
But, as the surgeon said; the sun will be your worst enemy this summer.
So, I guess I will have to cover the arm the entire summer.
I sort of knew that he’d say that, and I will have to work that issue out one way or another.
Again, this too shall pass.
I hope your weekend was a good one.
Have a good Tuesday!
