A new blog week for me!
I have settled in to this new routine. Nowadays, I publish my first blog post of the week on Tuesdays.
It clears up Sundays for me (as I am always pre-publishing).
So, I’ll continue like this for the time being.
Do any of you know what plant this might be? I see it in gardens while out walking. It might be some kind of holly (järnek)? but I am not sure. It does not look like the holly I have in my own little front yard. The flowers on this plant are yellow and fairly big.
I did give up Trump (and some other depressing news) for lent. NOT that I am religious in any regard, but why the heck not give depressing news the boot for about a month?
Give yourself some peace of mind (if possible).
Apparently, I am not the only one. I found this article in The Washington Post on Saturday.
I laughed a bit when I read this article in The Washington Post on Saturday. I wrote about it a bit myself in a post I composed last week.
The weekend was good.
We made some good food, and had some great company.
Sunday turned out to be a brunch day over at Peter’s dad. Fun to see Peter’s cousin Anne again as well. She had come down to DC for a visit.
I bought a book as well.
A book from ALL the Women’s Marches around the world held on January, 21, 2017.
The pics in the book are mainly from Washington DC, but there are pictures in the book from every single march in the world that day.
Did you know that they even held marches in Antartica?
Well, they did. So cool.
Picture from Barnes and Noble.
Have you guys ever noticed how beautiful the light in March is?
Well, I have.
It is remarkable, I think.
It is so crystal clear. It is almost like it is glistering. Hard to describe.
Try to light a candle in a window on any given evening in March during the twilight hour. It is SO beautiful with the candle and the clear evening light outside your window.
I just love it.
So, the March light is very, very special to me.
From a walk this weekend in the late afternoon. SO very lovely!!!
Next weekend, on my birthday as a matter of fact, we are switching over to Daylight Savings Time. Such a stupid habit of society.
Pick a time and stick with it ALL year long.
Keep the standard time. Always. Do not mess around with DST (sommartid).
Oh well, one just has to deal.
We have a good saying here in the US.
“Fall back. Spring forward”. If you think of that line you will always know how that poor hour will be disposed twice a year.
My lower patio. I love the light over the golf course in the late afternoon/early evening. You have seen my patio in many pictures thru the seasons. TOO bad that I never sit by this little table.
Have a nice and good Tuesday!!
