Good morning Tuesday!
I hope all is good with you all!
Have you guys watched any Christmas movies yet?
It is THAT time of the year, ya know!
Time to hunker down on the couch, light candles, drink a cup of tea (or something else), crank up THAT Christmas spirit with good, old Christmas movies.
Here are my favorite Christmas movies.
Ranked from 10-1.
10. Arthur’s Perfect Christmas
I don’t know how familiar you Scandinavians are with the little aardvark Arthur? Arthur is a cartoon character that I have loved since Karolina was little. We used to kick back with a couple of Arthur episodes every day when Karolina got home from school. This is when she was in the lower grades in Elementary School. Every afternoon I made chocolate milk for Karolina, and we had some “gold fish” (crackers) while watching Arthur. Arthur’s Perfect Christmas is a wonderful little movie to watch. We love it. We watch it every December.
Enjoy this if you have never seen it before (I think you can find the movie on YouTube if nothing else).
Such a cute, and funny movie. And, you gotta love Will Farrell. A true classic!!
8. Santa Clause
Another classic with Tim Allen. VERY entertaining and VERY Christmassy!!
7. Fanny and Alexander
By Ingmar Bergman. Need I say more? The Christmas scenes in the movie are classic and over the top. I try to watch this movie every year. Some years I fail to do so. But, I do think it is one of the best movies ever made!
6. Falling in Love
Wonderful, wonderful movie with Meryl Streep and Robert de Niro! Manhattan at Christmas time. Love hits two married commuters on the train to, and from, New York to the outer suburbs. Beautifully acted, and a fantastic love story. If you have never this movie you just HAVE to!!!
5. A Christmas Carol.
Yes, and especially the version where Patrick Stewart plays Ebenezer Scrooge. I love this movie so much.
4. Home Alone
Classic, classic Christmas movie. Makes me happy. We watched this one on Thanksgiving night together with Peter's sister and all the kids (teenagers+a 20 year old). We all loved it.
3. Love Actually
A MUST see at Christmas. I remember when I saw this movie for the first time, in the theater. I knew that I would buy it as soon as it would be released on DVD. And, I did! What a fantastic movie. Lovely, funny, beautiful and sad at the same time.
2. The Holiday
Love this movie so MUCH!! Beautiful and great. Yes, I think I’ll watch it this weekend!
1. Christmas Vacation
Yes, yes YES, this is my favorite Christmas movie of all times. I just LOVE it so much!!
Chevy Chase as the Christmas crazy family man Clark Griswold. I think this movie has it ALL! Also full of classic one-liners and quotes! The ultimate Christmas movie all categories!
So, there you have it, people.
