Old Town is a nice place to visit, all seasons.
It is the old part of Washington (Georgetown in DC is also the old part of town), even though it is located in Virginia.
Old Town Alexandria is very quaint, and it is beautifully located on the banks of the Potomac River.
We walked around, had a good organic lunch. I also got some Christmas decorations from The Christmas Attic. Yes, that store is open year round. It is always Christmas there.
NO, I have not decorated a single bit here at home. YET! I'll do so right after Thanksgiving, but I am starting to plan for how I'll decorate when the time comes. Yes, you bet...
If you visit Washington DC, you have to make sure you'll visit Old Town Alexandria as well...
Old Town has a nice, little harbor. It is always busy here.
Lots of restaurants and small little shops. I like it!! Sometimes I wish they could BAN cars from these cute towns and villages, haha!!
This is the City Hall in Alexandria.
There are so many places that I'd like to visit. I am happy that we live fairly close to this little gem of a town. When we have visitors from Sweden we're always visiting Old Town.
Always crowded by the harbor.
You can see downtown Washington DC in the distance.
So, yes, we did have a very nice weekend.
Saturday was colder than Sunday.
And, today and yesterday, the weather was downright balmy, even though we had frost last night. It was 18 degrees C (64 F) yesterday afternoon, I think it'll be much of the same today and tomorrow. BUT, after that it'll turn cold.
If I mind that? NO!!!
I hope your November Tuesday will be a nice and good one!
