The quote above is from the book "Anne of Green Gables"!
Yes, I can ONLY agree!
We've had our first frost of the season here in NoVA.
Well, the first frost usually makes its entry around this time every year.
Welcome frost! I love it!
I have zero problems with cool, and cold, weather. NO problems whatsoever!!
I love my seasons. I do not want to sacrifice a single one of them.
Peter likes warm weather more than I do. When we get old I want to move north, Peter would probably like to move south.
We'll see about THAT ONE!!
And, yesterday morning---as I stepped outside--- the weather was SO cold, crisp and calm.
As I walked out the door for my PW, I grabbed a hold of my Canon!
Route: The Lake Audubon path.
Temp: 4 degrees C, or around 40 on the Fahrenheit scale. Calm and sunny conditions.
As you can see we still have more green leaves than yellow, gold, orange and red ones. But, the trees are turning fast now!
Come along on my PW!!
Red berries along the path.
This maple tree is still as green as can be...
On my way to Lake Audubon I pass Lake Thoreau. I am a lucky girl to have two lakes to pick from!
But, a lot of leaves are already on the ground.
OH MY! SO happy that I had decided to bring the Canon along. Sure, the iPhone had to work, too. But, Canon is unbeatable!
Mist over the lake. SO lovely!!!
Cherry trees lose their leaves very, very early in the fall.
On the eastern shores of Lake Audubon...
A floating veranda is docked by the lake...
On the northern shores of the lake.
Yes, it sure is starting to look like fall now!
Townhomes on the eastern shore...
Tuesday today. I hope you all will have a nice, and good, day!!
